For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of ‘peace’ and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Jeremiah 29:11.

How many of you have this verse as your life’s verse?  I certainly do.  In fact, I claimed it as a child.  I’ve grown up with it…it saves me.

The Lord reminded me of it lately when I experienced a troubling dream.  In the dream, I was walking through a field similar to a vast plain.  The ground was filled with thistles and thorny plants.  I was following a few people at a distance.

Up ahead of me was a large rock mountain.  The people in front of me started around the base of the mountain when I asked them if we would have to walk much longer.  They responded that we would, so I turned around and tried to get back from where I came.  I said I couldn’t go any further.

The dream ended with me attempting to find a ride home with no success.  I awoke with despair in my heart.  Suddenly I heard a song play in my head:

Not by might not by power but by MY SPIRIT says the Lord
Not by might not by power but by MY SPIRIT says the Lord
Not by might not by power but by MY SPIRIT says the Lord

This mountain shall be removed
I'll build My temple in you
And what I promise shall be done
And it’s not by might not by power but by MY SPIRIT says the Lord

So, he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground.” Zech. 4:6-7.

During prayer about this dream, I asked the Lord to give me a verse that has the word mountain in it as confirmation.  I received an address.  Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My Covenant of Peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

What is this mountain I cannot get around?  Well, of course, it is the physical affliction I suffer from which limits my activities.  As I thanked the Lord for encouraging me, another song came to me.  You know it’s God when obscure things pop into your head related to what you are asking!

Have you heard this old song? “She’ll be Coming Around the Mountain When She Comes.”  Yep, that’s the song He used to confirm His deliverance or should I say…mountain removal to me.  God does have a great sense of humor.

Interestingly, the song is derived from the Christian spiritual known as "When the Chariot Comes"… it refers to the 2nd coming of Christ and the subsequent Rapture, with the she referring to the chariot that Christ is depicted as driving.

She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes
She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes
Coming round the mountain, she'll be coming round the mountain
Coming round the mountain when she comes…

Indeed, I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass.  I have purposed it; I will also do it.  Isaiah 46:11.

Oh, but wait, there is more to this story.  A notable reminder of the mountain’s removal was given a week after the dream.  Read about it: Disappearing Mountain ~ Dramatic confirmation of mountain removal!
