Roadway In The Wilderness

There seems to be a continuing theme of ‘government’ in my dreams lately.  Mind you, I have lost all interest in politics since after the last Presidential election.  Perhaps, the Lord wants my mind on the things of above instead of worldly antics.  However, another dream came in this month along with Let My People Go Dream (located under Watchmen Dreams Archives). Let My People Go! – Believe Miracles Are for Today (believemiraclesr42day.com)

So, maybe God is saying something significant and I am to listen.  Here goes…

I was on a freeway with a large line of people traveling west.  We were slowed as the highway ahead had been closed by the government.  I spot an off ramp to the right which I took.  I sped past the closure and jumped off the freeway ramp to an arid area.  Then, crossing through the dry place, I got back on the closed freeway heading west.

The empty freeway was watched over by a lone guard.  She saw me as I started progressing on the closed highway.  However, I was dressed similar to the guard (I felt I was disguised) so she left me alone as I walked past her on the deserted freeway.  I awoke to a song:

I sense this dream was a precursor to the Let My People Go Dream which occurred a short time later.  In both dreams, the government was involved.  The government (could also represent the world governing authority).  In addition, I was traveling west.  West is where the sun sets, the end of a day…the end of days?  In both dreams, my work or walk was interrupted by the government, but God made a way.

Let’s look closer at the symbols.  Freeway- highway of life…is it my life or does it involve the lives of others as I was with others until the government intervened?  I left the others behind since they got stuck at the road closure.  Could the road closure be the pandemic or a future prediction?  Possibly both.  I found a detour to get back on the same highway circumventing the closure.  I had to take an off-ramp (a detour) but was able to navigate through an arid place (the wilderness) to jump back on the highway. 

Once on the deserted roadway, I was unaccompanied and the lone guard thought I was one of their own.  She let me pass as I was disguised in the same clothing as she.  I am disturbed by the thought of government interruptions.  Is deepening persecution coming our way?  What if this signifies the closure of the information highway, our freedoms?  Somehow God makes a way!

Whatever this dream signifies, whether current or future (by the way, both can be represented in the same dream), I believe the Lord is saying, “Push Through”.  To be faithful to do the work assigned by God no matter what man throws our way.  To stay on the ‘HIGH’ (keep our heads above the fray) ‘WAY’ (God’s Way).  Because He will make a ROADWAY IN THE WILDERNESS!

 “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.'”  (Isaiah 40:3).

“A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.  The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for others.  Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not go astray.”  (Isaiah 35:8).
