It was two days ago when I smelled the grape juice in my bedroom readying me for the Lord’s communion (posted under Miracles & Fulfilled Prophecy Archives ~ The God of Socks & Communion).  The God of Socks & Communion.  After partaking, I dreamed.

In the dream, I was with construction workers when we looked up to the sky.  It was dark but clear and a huge, brilliant cross shown in the blackened heavens.  The cross had a crown of thorns around its top.  I knew it to be the Sign of the Son of Man coming.  I had a strange knowing as I gazed upon the cross…as we were waiting for the Lord, He was waiting for us!  I told the workers who were still busy working, that they better get ready because something is coming.  They seemed unmoved and I left their presence.

The final scene I found myself in what was a large hot tub (minus the bubbles) with a few others.  Though it was the size of a hot tub, it was made of beige stone.  I was sitting on a stone step washing my feet, immersed to my waist in water.  The others in the bath were doing the same.  I awoke to the word “mikvah”.  A mikvah, Lord?  What is a mikvah?  Not being Jewish, I admit I did not know what a mikvah was.

I knew the dream was from God because of the symbols and how quickly He spoke upon waking.  During prayer about the dream’s meaning, I heard: “Hark the herald angels sing glory to the RISEN King.”  Not “Hark the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn King…” which are the correct lyrics to the song.  Another song came "People Get Ready" by The Impressions:
People get ready
There's a train a-coming
You don't need no baggage
You just get on board
All you need is faith
To hear the diesels humming
Don't need no ticket
You just thank the Lord

Finally, addresses followed:

“The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”  (Isaiah 40:5 ).

“He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people: ‘Gather My saints together to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.’  Let the heavens declare His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge.”  (Psalm 50:4-6).

The revelation of the dream indicates the times we are in, Believers continue to build the kingdom of God as represented by the construction workers.  Even though they saw the cross light up the dark sky, they kept working as dutifully workers.

The sky was clear but dark as in the pandemic has cleared (to a large extent), yet our time is still heavy with oppression (from a myriad of societal changes). The huge brilliant cross with a crown of thorns around its neck is the Sign of the Son of Man, no doubt about that!  Back to the workers busy building, they were not moved by the sky or the cross.  I had to remind them to get ready something is coming.

"For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day."  (Luke 17:24).

What puzzled me is the ‘knowing’ in the dream that though we are waiting for Jesus to come, He is waiting for us!  How can that be?  What does that mean?  I think the understanding of a mikvah will cement the revelation.

The Spiritual Meaning of Mikvah: The function of mikvah is not to enhance physical hygiene. The concept of mikvah is rooted in the spiritual.  In many ways, mikvah is the threshold separating the unholy from the holy.”

Interesting the spiritual meaning of mikvah, though I was washing my feet not my whole body.  Which is indicative of cleansing preparation for the Gospel of Peace (on my feet).  By the way, mikvah also means hope.  Therefore, could God be waiting for me (or us as Believers) to purify our walks before He comes?

As Believers we talk all the time about how we want the Lord to return asap…but do we really?  Are we willing to get ready for His appearance?  Are we preparing the way of the Lord in our individual lives?  The concept of mikvah is for personal purity but it also applies to the Body of Christ as a whole as we wait for our God.  As my dream indicated not all will prepare, I hear the Lord say, “Cleanse in a mikvah…People Get Ready!”
