The Offices of Pastor and Teacher ~ Real life examples, Vincent & Patricia Xavier

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.  (2 Timothy 4:2).

It was 1999 and I had just finished praying for a woman who needed deliverance from the spirits of murder.  An excerpt from my book: “By the end of the third hour, the Lord told me to ask Marilyn if she was willing to give up the power (ESP, clairvoyance) the demons gave her in order to receive deliverance, she said ‘no’.  God said we were done, and I told her when she was willing to give up the power we could move forward.

It was after this experience that I met Pastors Vincent and Patricia, who specialize in the deliverance ministry.  Patricia Joy wrote a book titled Deliverance, The Christian’s Bill of Rights, which I read.  I spent much time with the pastors and learned a great deal.  During my time of tutelage, Vincent gave me personal prophecies on being an end-time Jeremiah-type prophet.”

I have chosen to highlight Vincent and Patricia because they are an exceptional team but mostly because I have learned so much of the unseen world from them in my early years.  I had Vincent in a prophetic 10:10 dream which predicted the imminent fulfillment of the event a few months before it happened.  I recall the dream currently under the Spirit Sightings blog. 

Spirit Sightings & The Miraculous 

This pastoral couple operates in the fivefold ministry which we recently learned about.  But more than the gifts and offices that they hold is the fruit of the Spirit they have consistently propagated since I first met them.  The best gift they have is love, this couple exudes love.  I can’t explain it but it is palpable when you are in their presence.  It was always a treat to attend their church or be included in one of their prophetic prayer sessions. 

I have heard God say “Vincent is an end-time prophet” in addition to the other offices he stands in.  I have chosen to feature him under the Offices of Pastor and Teacher even though he walks in all five offices.

Pastor Vincent and his wife, Patricia, are the founders/leaders of New Wine Ministry in Northwest Arkansas. Vincent has traveled globally sharing the inspired, prophetic word of God at conferences and over the airwaves (Omega Radio Network) for more than 20 years.

In addition, Pastor Vincent hosts The Watchmen on Omega Radio and Blog Talk Radio interpreting the latest news and end times events through a biblical lens. 

Here is Pastor Vincent in his own words recounting his call into ministry: “My calling into the ministry began 40 years ago. From the time I had received Jesus Christ into my heart, a call to preach the gospel was upon me. God had given me a supernatural ability to read the word of God and have it written upon the tablets of my heart. This was a supernatural gifting because I was able to remember chapter and verse of scripture like it was as natural as breathing. I called this supernatural because having been to 15 different elementary schools and seven different high schools and having never gone to college or university or any other school but the school of Christ for my training.

God had given me an ability to preach with depth and insight that I had never had before. The gifting that God had given me to preach the gospel were an apostolic anointing and prophetic anointing. This is truly a supernatural miracle and has served in my 30 years of full-time pastoral ministry to equip the body of Christ and to declare the things that are coming upon this earth.

While I do not confess myself to be an apostle or a prophet, there is no doubt that apostolic and prophetic anointing accompanies my preaching of the gospel and serves in our pastoral ministry to the church. Throughout our tenor of ministry, many have recognized these gifting ‘s and have called me everything from a bishop to an apostle, to a prophet, to an evangelist and a pastor.

This amazes me because it is the One Holy Spirit that possesses all these gifts and having received the Holy Spirit, I have noticed that God releases this oil as He wills through whatever vessel He chooses. Shalom, Pastor Vincent.”

And with many other exhortations he preached to the people.  (Luke 3:18).

Thank you, Pastor Vincent for sharing your ministry calling with us.  I, for one, am exceedingly joyful to have met this couple of God early in my walk with the Lord.  Both he and his wife, Patricia instilled in me a prophetic seed which has grown into something I hope they would be proud of.
