If you don’t know, God has a history of using my body as a sign and as a sign in me to get my attention for prayer and intercession. Such is the case recently. Now don’t laugh, but my butt cheek has been burning. Yes, it probably has an organic origin. However, when a physical symptom arises in my body, I do the best to treat it as a body issue and if it doesn’t clear up, then the Lord has my attention.
That is what happened with my seat. As I asked Him about it, I immediately heard ‘Seat of Power’. Mind you, it’s not my ‘seat of power’. Well, it is my seat, but I certainly have no power in this world except through prayer. I believe the Lord is saying we, as people of prayer are the seat of power, the true seat of power on this earth.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2: 4-6.
In addition, the Lord and the Spirit are talking about our nation and those seated in power. I believe this relates to the coming election and the part that we have to play in God’s decision of who will rule our country. These are the days of Elijah when our intercession/prayers will determine the fate of our nation.
Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Psalm 85:6.
Besides what I heard the Lord say, I received two scripture addresses and then a song.
We Humble Ourselves in the Dark
Now therefore, our God,
The great, the mighty, and awesome God,
Who keeps covenant and mercy:
Do not let all the trouble seem small before You
That has come upon us,
Our kings and our princes,
Our priests and our prophets…
However, You are just in all that has befallen us;
For You have dealt faithfully,
But we have done wickedly.
Neither our kings nor our princes,
Our priests nor our fathers,
Have kept Your law,
Nor heeded Your commandments and Your testimonies,
With which You testified against them.
For they have not served You in their kingdom,
Or in the many good things that You gave them,
Or in the large and rich land which You set before them;
Nor did they turn from their wicked works.
“Here we are, servants today!
And the land that You gave to our fathers,
To eat its fruit and its bounty,
Here we are, servants in it!
And it yields much increase to the kings
You have set over us,
Because of our sins;
Also they have dominion over our bodies and our cattle
At their pleasure;
And we are in great distress.” Nehemiah 9:32–37
I also received a recollection of a posting from the beginning of this year in January. We Humble Ourselves in the Dark. The article miraculously covers the same topic with the same song and the same scriptures, so I know God is speaking. With that said, a National Day of Prayer is being held 10/12/24. These are certainly the days of Elijah!
“So, I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Luke 11:9-10.
This Saturday October 12th at 9:00 am - Join us Live for the prophetic gathering on the National Mall in Washington D.C. I will be opening the event. We will be fasting and praying in unity for America. The livestream is on my YouTube channel. #jonathancahn #amillionwomen
I admonish you to join me in simply praying the scriptures (reading them) back to God in intercession as He is asking from us. To humble ourselves, seeking for Him to turn from His anger; and to let His glory return to dwell in us and our land! It’s in our hands.
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19.
