I mentioned last week that besides holding a personal message, the Lord revealed a ‘corporate’ (Body of Christ) prophetic message through Wendy’s dream ‘Dancing in the Dark’.  During prayer about its meaning, I was taken back by some scripture addresses I was given.  I couldn’t understand the implications until my eyes were opened.

I received Daniel 9:16-19: O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away…because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers…Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate.

O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city (church) which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.

O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city (church) and Your people are called by Your name.”

After I received the verse, I immediately heard a song play in my head: We Humble Ourselves"

You O Lord are a holy God
Your ways are perfect and just
Slow to anger and abounding in love
You have shown us your Father's heart

But we Your people have turned from You
Resisting Your power and grace
Taking our lives into our hands
We have stumbled and lost our way

So, we humble ourselves before You
And confess our unfaithfulness toward You
Forgive our sins remove our shame
Restore the church that bears Your name
That revival may come to this land once again

More scripture came:

Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease.  Will You be angry with us forever?  Will You prolong Your anger to all generations?

Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?  Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation.

I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly.

Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.  Psalm 85:4-9.

Wow!  Do you see how the song mirrors the scriptures given?  The Lord is speaking.  This is a call to the Body of Christ corporately to pray for the revival that He has waiting for us.  It’s our responsibility to ask that our sins (personal, church and country) be forgiven as the Holy Spirit reveals.

I admonish you to join me in simply praying the scriptures (reading them) back to God in intercession as He is asking from us.  To humble ourselves in this dark time, seeking for Him to turn from His anger; and to let His glory return to dwell in us and our land!  It’s in our hands.

If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; you will remove iniquity far from your tents…For then you will have your delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you…You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you…He will even deliver one who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands.  Job 22:23, 26, 27, 29, 30.
