I bring up this dream because the Lord recently reminded me that it contained sandals. As you know, for the past few months, the Lord has been speaking to me about feet and sandals (as in the Jeweled Feet dream posted 6/13/23). The following is a companion to the current article, Blink of An Eye.
The dream being given in 2007 during my enlistment into revival praying means it is an end-time prediction. And not only a prediction, but also a ‘Look Up’ (for our redemption draws near) and a way of escape! This was a four-part dream, so I will layout the first two scenes and next week, finish with the last two.
When it was given in ’07, I surmised it had to do with unbelievers and those who will be caught off-guard when the rapture happens. But recently, the Lord prompted me that the prophetic is for believers. So, He has changed my perspective on the understanding. Tweaked it, so to speak because we are nearing its fulfillment. I’m going to give you a warning. This is not a pretty dream and much prayer has gone into deciphering it.
As the dream started, I found myself on a highway where young people were riding motorcycles. Some drivers were crashing into the sides of the freeway as they were going too fast. Next, I was transported to a city where the people were at bars looking for people to have sex with and shopping for sandals.
A second scene transpired when I came upon two lifeguard towers. The two guards were speaking about a coming tsunami, but they were overtaken by it as they spoke. They did not warn anyone that it was coming. I heard, then saw the tsunami…ominous and deadly. I took off running to find Bobby and my belongings to get out of town.
In the interpretation of this first part of the dream, the scripture given was imperative in understanding its meaning. So, let’s start with that. I was given the address of Amos 2:6-8. Notice how the scripture lines up with the dream symbols. Though the Lord is addressing Israel, He uses it as a biblical paradigm for wayward children of today.
Thus says the Lord: “For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they sell the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals. Vs. 6.
They pant after the dust of the earth which is on the head of the poor, and pervert the way of the humble. A man and his father go in to the same girl, to defile My holy name. Vs. 7.
They lie down by every altar on clothes taken in pledge and drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god." Vs. 8.
What is God saying through this dream? First, I believe the young people represent those who are immature in the Lord, not age. Motorcycles are symbolic of personal lives and/or ministries. They were going too fast, crashing and looking for satisfaction in bars (aka the world) and sex outside of marriage. Adultery against God’s covenant with His bride.
The sandals are interesting as we have learned they represent spreading the Gospel. These believers were looking for ‘new’ ways to grow their influence and increase their revenue base by looking for ‘new’ sandals. Yet, it is at the cost of the poor and humble. A reference to those whom they oversee for the Lord. Another verse was given:
Gilead is a city of evildoers, stained with footprints of blood! Hosea 6:8. "Gilead mentioned in the Book of Hosea is a city of those who work iniquity; it is stained with blood." Gilead - Wikipedia.
To strengthen the meaning referring to church leadership, lifeguards are supposed to guard swimmers (believers). But, in the second scene, they were caught ‘off-guard’ as the tsunami hit. They are the ‘old’ guard for the church, living life in this world and not totally in the Spirit, not able to see what is coming. I see and hear the tsunami coming but no one else did in this dream.
The tsunami is tougher for me to understand as it could be judgment beginning in the house of the Lord or revival through persecution. Maybe, it is both. Another verse: Put the trumpet to your lips! An eagle is over the house of the Lord because the people have broken my covenant and rebelled against my law. Hosea 8:1.
The dream’s meaning has taken shape. From the symbology of the first two scenes, I ascertain it is about Christ’s church’s leadership in the latter days. A prediction before God’s tidal wave hits.
Let’s continue on with the third scene. After I heard and saw the tsunami, I ran to find Bobby and my belongings to get out of town. I came upon a lady newscaster in a red dress. She said to me: “I can’t do this job anymore, no one is listening.” I next saw her in another outfit, multi-colored (like a rainbow) and she was serving drinks at a bar, while her multi-colored belt was attached to a wall of the building, so she was not totally disconnected.
The final scene had me running upstairs to an upper room where I collected my belongings and headed downstairs to find Bobby. I located him and we left town. We got word that people were disappearing. And, I heard a voice say, “They were raptured.”
In interpreting the final scenes, I believe the newscaster is the church again (the end-times church in Revelation 3, Laodicea church). She wore red for the blood of Christ, yet she was tired of no one listening to her so she traded in her broadcasting the Gospel message for the world. Her blood red clothing traded for a worldly outfit as she served in a bar.
Though she was still connected to the building (Christ) with her rainbow belt of truth (God’s covenant and His promises); we also know the world has corrupted God’s colorful symbol into something vile.
Running to an upper room (the disciples gathered with Jesus in an upper room), I got my belongings together. This denotes prayer and preparation for a departure. Once I found my husband, we ‘got out of Dodge’ and heard that the Rapture had taken place.
Come, and let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. Hosea 6:1-2.
Interesting that ‘Rapture’ in my dream interpretation book means REVIVAL! In prayer about the dream, the Lord gave me Jeremiah 31:6 about watchmen…the same day reading in my Every Day Light devotional, “There is a vital faith element which is always evident in the days preceding revival…faith is provided by those whom we may call ‘the watchmen on the walls’. Just as Jerusalem had its watchmen, so too does the modern-day church.”
Prophetically, I see and hear the tsunami coming but no one else does in this dream. Again, tsunami could be judgment, or it could be revival. Either way, both would be scary. Yet, the rapture is a welcomed conclusion and a hopeful ending.
I also believe this is a warning to the church that those who sell out to the world will be left behind. Don't trade your Godly garments for worldly ones and look up for our redemption draws near!
Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. Luke 21:28.
So that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints. 1 Thessalonians 3:13.
