The Wedding Feast

This is a sister dream to the Great Gathering posted under the Watchman Dreams Archives.  These end-time dreams are in my first book; however, I feel led to reiterate them since this week is devoted to prophets and prophecy. 

For some further background, once my intercessory prayer assignment ended in 2014, I began to have dreams about a gathering of people for a common cause.  They (including myself) came together for a purpose and for an event.  This is one of the more significant of these dreams.

I was with a gathering of people.  We were getting ready to work at a wedding feast and we were putting on our white wedding garments.  We made it to the feast on time and there was a huge banquet set up.  The area was lovely, stunning in its beauty and the feast was scrumptious.  We filled our plates with food from the bounty.  I assumed the wedding had already taken place, but I do not know this to be a fact from the dream. 

The only person I ‘honed’ in on was my cousin who is not yet a believer.  He was putting on a white garment over his clothes and the back of the white garment was cutout exposing a brown and white striped shirt.  I only saw the back of him with the striped shirt under the white garment.  Upon waking and asking the Lord if the dream was from Him, I received scripture and a song.

Luke 7:22 Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Go and tell John (the Baptist) the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them.’

The song I heard was a Christian song by Chris Rice called ‘Deep Enough to Dream’ (the chorus):

Deep enough to dream in brilliant colors

I have never seen

Deep enough to join a billion people

For a wedding feast

Deep enough to reach out and touch

The face of the One who made me

And oh, the love I feel, and oh the peace

Do I ever have to wake up

Is this a dream of heaven?  Is this the wedding feast of the Lamb (aka the marriage supper of the Lamb)?  I can only look at the symbols to determine what the dream is telling me.  Again, I found myself amongst a group of people with the same goal, this time getting prepared to attend a wedding feast.  Upon arriving on time at the wedding, the feast had begun.  Thank goodness we were on time; isn’t there a phrase that says, ‘God is never early or late, but always on time?’

It’s interesting that the only person I recognized was my cousin.  I think this is because the Lord wanted to tell me that he will be saved and enter into the feast.  The white garment my cousin had on indicates righteousness as we all had on these garments.  However, his was open in the back revealing a brown and white striped shirt.  Upon praying for the meaning, I heard, 'By His stripes we are healed’… Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

The symbolism of the color in the shirt is important.  White is righteousness and brown means dead (also humility), as when grass is alive it is green but upon death, brown.  In other words, when we are alive in the flesh, we are green (green also means lack of understanding or not experienced), but when we repent and die to self, we are brown.  Note Isaiah 40:7 The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely the people are grass.  And 1 Peter 1:24 Because all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away.

I believe the Lord was showing me that when the great gathering takes place for the wedding feast, my cousin will be redeemed because by Jesus’ stripes (on the back of my cousin’s shirt) we are healed and saved!  Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

In addition, and more importantly to those reading this blog, why would God give me this dream?  Because He wants me to proclaim and you to know that we are experiencing the end-times.  That we are seeing it with our own eyes and to look up for our redemption draws near and it does so quickly!
