The Latter Rain on Its Way

As I mentioned in my post from last week, He Who Has an Ear, Let Him Hear, I promised you that whatever it is He will tell me is coming, I will tell you.  I will proclaim what God is saying.  I am getting a clearer picture of what is on the horizon. 

As my ear remains plugged at the time of this writing (though I have attempted solutions to unplug it short of a doctor’s visit, so far), I prayed about what God is saying.  I received an address of Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.  This verse in my bible references Hosea 6:3 Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord.  His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth.

In the summer, my mentor Cindy and I began to pray for the Latter Rain.  Believe it or not, as she asked God if we were on the right track, He gave her Hosea 6:3 in her prayer time (she doesn’t received addresses too often), the same as I was given. 😊

I continued to seek His guidance and asked “If this is the time for the Latter Rain then I ask for a physical sign of rain!”  Now, normally I don’t tempt the Lord by asking for signs but I sensed it was okay for me to ask.  So, I did.  August in San Diego means there is usually no hope of rain.  

From my prayer journal: “Tonight, I ask for a physical rain if we are in the time of the Latter Rain and if You, Lord have touched my ear.”  I asked on August 7, 2022 about 9:00 p.m.  On August 8, 2022 it rained starting around 9:00 p.m.  See my screen shot of my phone with the forecast.

The same evening, I received a mug I had ordered on Amazon a day (early) before it was scheduled to be delivered.  The mug is an interesting detail to this whole story.  I wanted a mug to place by my retro green microwave in my kitchen as I was tired of my old one. 

Of the 10,000+ hits for a ‘green mug’ on Amazon, the first row contained the one I wanted.  See my cute mug below.  The reason I bought it was not only for the color but it says “Just Believe” on it.  This is the same phrase as on my website dedicated to proclaiming the fulfilled promises of God! 

If that weren’t cool enough, I placed the order on the 7^th before I asked for rain in the evening.  The mug was expected on the 9^th but it was delivered early on the 8^th… the same day I got the sign of rain confirmed.  JUST BELIEVE!

Around the same time, monsoon season hit Arizona, Nevada and parts of southeastern California.  It just so happens that I had also been praying against our drought and for God to start filling up our reservoirs, lakes, streams, etc. for atmospheric rivers from heaven to descend on us.  For our drought both physically and spiritually to end.

I know the Lord is proclaiming it is the time for the Latter Rain to begin.  Will you join us in praying in this Rain of His Spirit for such a time as this?  I pray you will. 

And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.  Deuteronomy 11:13-14.
