Stop The Pain

Someone from my old church contacted me through my husband.  They were reading my book and had questions for me.  Because they were associated with the old church, I asked God for His view on the situation. 

I had a check in my spirit over the request, but nothing concrete until this dream was given to reveal the source of my hesitation.  As another example of hearing God’s voice, this dream was a welcome answer to prayer.     

I was in a large Victorian lodge, upstairs.  I was looking out the window at the ocean and the stormy weather.  In a drawer by the window were two fur coats (brown, expensive fur) folded belonging to the house. I was afraid the coats would be worn again.  

I went to look for a restroom.  Each stall (there were many) had a door that wouldn’t close.  Every time I went in, I couldn’t find a door that went to that stall.  The door went to the next stall.  So, none of the stalls had doors that worked, there was no privacy. I decided not to use the bathroom.

Outside the bathroom, I opened a cabinet that was long and narrow as a hallway.  On the floor (two by two) were neatly folded bed sheets lining the floor of the long cabinet.  Blue and pink florals in two Victorian patterns.

I closed the cabinet, moved to the next cabinet and opened it.  I found an old dirty interior with a baby black widow spider. I knew I had to kill it before it grew. I surmised I would use my STOP PAIN spray to kill the spider.

Sufficient to say after prayer and wise counsel, the Victorian house represents my old church.  Me looking out of a large window is a reference to a prophetic view of a stormy (the weather) situation.  

The two fur coats (Adam/Eve covered themselves with fur to cover their sin) belonged to the head pastor and wife.  The coats were neatly and securely tucked away in a drawer, and I was fearful someone would ‘wear’ them again.  After deliberation, I believe the fur to be wolf.  A very expensive fur, yet also, very telling.

Trying to use a bathroom means trying to purge or to cleanse.  Apparently, I could not find a door to shut in order to purge myself from this situation.  It seems there is no closure to the church drama.  And the folded bedsheets (two in each row) in the long closet are indicative of covering up...sheets are used to cover up a bed or furniture, etc.  Blue and pink speak to me of male and female, a couple.

In dream analysis, I want you to see the reference to twos.  Two fur coats; two by two sheets lining the closet floor (I looked in two places of storage) and the two types of colored sheets.  There are a lot of twos going on which brings me to the symbol of such… two means “to judge,” “to discern,” or “to set apart.” Likewise, the Bible requires a minimum of two witnesses before judgment can be rendered.

By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.  (2 Corinthians 13:1).

The baby black widow (a female) represents great danger, deadly, a web of deceit and an evil spirit that works by trapping people.  The baby spider will grow into a big one if not killed.  Poisonous, kill it while it is young.  How?  I used my STOP PAIN spray which I use on wounds.   

Because God said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So, we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5b-6).

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22).

I was also reminded that the first dreams I had when I took the 10 year-long prayer assignment for that church, were of black spiders growing and multiplying.  I now knew I must kill the attempt (the baby spider) to get me involved again.  I had to stop the pain it brought me from the past (the old dusty cabinet).  God provided my answer through this confirming dream.
