Stir the Heavenlies

It is important to know who you are in the spirit realm with God as an intercessor. We are called to stir the heavenlies with our prayers; to make chaos and confusion in the enemy’s camp. To understand that our prayers are not trivial, especially if we are called to pray for a situation or another; whatever the Lord has given us as a prayer assignment.

We are to take the kingdom by force! And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12.

“As followers of Christ, the verse reminds us that our journey as believers will encounter opposition, but with unwavering faith and determined pursuit of God’s kingdom, we will conquer.

The kingdom of heaven is not passively attained but requires a proactive and fervent approach. We must be watchful, discern the spiritual climate around us, and actively engage in spiritual warfare. Undoubtedly, the devil is always at war with the children of God who do God's will. Hence, we should always remember that we are constantly on the war front, battling against darkness to uphold light and the will of God. Keeping this in perspective, the verse serves as a reminder for us to remain vigilant and avoid complacency in our spiritual warfare. We are called to cultivate a life of fervent and persistent prayer.”  Bible Study on the REAL Meaning of Matthew 11:12.

We are to take the kingdom by force! But how? This concept was prophesied to me in 2010 how we accomplish this. It was brought to my attention, six months prior to me having to deliver the Lord’s final decision to a pastor (the prayer target) regarding a Jezebel spirit problem.

I attended a friend’s wedding and sat at the reception with the pastors who performed the ceremony.  I met a woman of prayer who was their friend.  I was about to leave the reception when she asked if she could pray for me, I said yes.  She took my hands and started prophesying, “Whirlwinds, whirlwinds, whirlwinds all around you.  The enemy is confused when you pray; you pray whirlwinds around him.”  

Ha! We are to pray whirlwinds around the enemy. “A believing prayer warrior is a dangerous thing in the midst of an evil world. Effective prayers are not where your desires are met by God, but where God’s desires are found by you. Pray beyond the limits of you, and it will be there that you will find God.  Intercessors pray to His limits.” 

Then the LORD will be seen over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning.  The Lord GOD will blow the trumpet, and go with whirlwinds from the south… Zechariah 9:14.

A whirlwind’s definition: “A violent windstorm of limited extent, characterized by an inward spiral motion of the air with an upward current in the center; a vortex of air. It usually has a rapid progressive motion. This causes a wind which further pushes the rising air. We are to pray whirlwinds around the enemy, but how? Whirlwinds are created through prayers using scripture that we pray around the subject of intercession. A whirlwind of the Lord creates a vacuum inside the storm. He surrounds with the circling winds of His word, creating this vacuum. To clarify, the Lord sucks out, from the midst of the whirlwind, the evil intents of the enemy. Thus, leaving a holy vacuum that is then able to be filled with Gods good intentions towards the subject of our prayers.

Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goes forth with fury, A continuing whirlwind; It will fall violently on the head of the wicked. Jeremiah 30:23.

A recent example of turmoil in the enemy’s camp: “With the presidential election, witches were trying to cast spells against Donald Trump, but this time around they're reportedly frustrated that their spells aren't working…news outlets are reporting that some witches are publicly bemoaning the failures of their spells against Trump…spells won't work like before because many people are praying.” Witches Report Their Spells Against Trump Aren't Working: 'He Has a Shield' | CBN News.

We create these tumultuous wind storms by praying the living forceful word of God. Then, scripture forms a vacuum around the addressed topic and thrusts out the enemy. And this vacuum allows the Lord’s best intentions to fill the void.

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to help you, and in His excellency on the clouds. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’ Deuteronomy 33:26-27.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.

Prophetic intercession is our conspiring together with God, “breathing violently” into situations through prayer to bring forth life.” James Goll: The Art of Prophetic Intercession.

A word of caution. Our prayers are directed towards God and not Satan, meaning a confrontation. Unless specifically told by the Lord to do so, scripture will confront Satan. It is best not to verbally confront him.  A good example to follow is Jude 1:9: Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

Now, go stir the heavenlies with your supplications. Affect eternity with your prayers while making chaos and confusion in the enemy’s camp to make room for God’s best intentions.

Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. Revelation 19:15.
