A few days after my pet Titus passed, I walked by my closet (which had become his bedroom since his sister Paia died) and I closed the closet door.  I proclaimed out loud that I would not go back into that closet, mainly because of Titus, but also because it was no longer a prayer closet.  Since the long church prayer assignment ended in 2014, I abandoned prayer in the closet.

I contemplated a closet clean out/conversion, and I awoke that morning after to a song: It goes like this...“If I were a Carpenter and you were a lady, would you marry me anyway, would you have My baby.” Hmmm…as I thought about it, me pregnant with His baby (aka the new thing that God is planning), but also, Jesus was a Carpenter...my closet!

I decided to get rid of all of my clothes in the closet and remodel it.  After a month, I had given away 95% of my clothes (shoes, purses, jewelry included) to a local church.  I also had a window cut into the closet to let sunlight in.

I sat in my closet the day after contractors finished the remodeling job in March 2019.  I received a scripture address during prayer: Galatians 3:18 “For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.”  I then closed my eyes and I had a flash vision of a rainbow.  I opened my eyes and as I sat in my closet, I thought my closet looks like a rainbow.  With the sunshine streaming in through my new window and the walls being sky blue. The chandelier I chose was rainbow colors and my clothes arranged in rainbow order.

I cried because rainbow means promise. And God has made me many promises; hence “I am pregnant with the promises of God.”

The rainbow is a symbol of Gods faithfulness and mercy. God took the rainbow, which had been a beautiful object shining in the heavens when the sun’s rays fell on falling rain, and blessed it as the sign of His covenant and the witness of His promise.

And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you...

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth." Genesis 9:12-13.

On March 30th, I received a rainbow on the rug next to my bed in the morning. Within a week of the first rainbow appearing at my feet, God set my closet ablaze with rainbows.  There were rainbows on the walls of my closet from the sun coming in through the window and hitting my chandelier, even into the bathroom.  In April, the rainbow turned into a cross!

I even got one on my leg while I waited in the car at our Costco parking lot…

During a quiet time in my closet with Jesus, I thought about the rainbows and then I got a verse Acts 3:26 “To you first God having raised up his servant Jesus sent him to bless you in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”  This verse was from The Best Is Yet To Come,  from April 2007.  The Lord promised that I would be refreshed when He pours His Spirit out in a mighty way.

Around the same time, I finished writing My Sister’s Walk with God , and I saw Covenant Book's publishing ad on television.

I sent Covenant the manuscript in the beginning of July 2019, the next day, I got out of bed, and I looked at my feet.  On the rug next to my bed was a second distinct rainbow cross. It lasted for about ten minutes and changed colors.  I couldn’t believe my eyes, (it was this rainbow cross that I used for the book’s front and back covers).

The rainbows continued appearing for months after the first rainbow’s appearance in March.  Believe it or not, my neighbors also had rainbow experiences at the same time mine were manifesting.  God’s amazing handiwork!

And in that day you will say: “Praise the Lord, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted. Isaiah 12:4.
