As always with the murky subject that I will be writing about, I made sure I sought wise counsel. And the wisest counsel who remembers it all, is my husband and my spiritual mentor. They were both consulted as I contemplated putting this issue on the website. When I spoke to my mentor, she received a vision that I will record here. In her own words:
As we were talking, I saw (very clearly) a large and intricate jigsaw puzzle. It was in front of me placed in my line of sight like a painting hanging on a white wall. The picture was much like the style of an old master oil painting with a dark, shades of brown, to almost black background. The image was just swirls of color towards the middle and ending in light to white in the center.
The middle pieces were all put together, yet the rest of the pieces were scattered face up working outward. I saw a smaller group of dark pieces assembled on the upper left corner. They were together and ready to be placed or fitted into the puzzle. There were other dark pieces loosely laid around them not yet attached.
One interesting point to make is that the vision became clearer to me as I talked to you. That’s not something that often happens to me in conversation. At least I don’t usually have strong images in my mind while I’m speaking to someone. The picture is still clear in my mind today as I write to you, so it must be important
Dark colors equate to the heavy messages (dark prophecies and dreams). Bright colors and light in the middle means happy, enlightening messages. Easy to hear compared to the difficult dark messages around the edges. It seems the heart of your messages are cheerful and easy to read, but once in a while you introduce something more serious.
The entire puzzle is framed in somber colors, but the larger part is light and bright. I saw the dark pieces that were being added as a whole but much smaller in proportion to the center of the entire puzzle which was colorful and bright (the lighter stories).
I surmise that if there was no dark, we would not be able to see the light or at least, the difference between the two! That is the case with the subject matter about my old church. Just as this puzzle vision represents my website with the bright posts and sometimes, dark articles…so too, the different colors represent the long prayer assignment. The ups, the downs, the joys and the darkness that comprised that job.
God definitely wants this subject on His site. I believe He wants to complete the puzzle that we started so many years ago. It was not finalized when I left the church in 2015, so I sense the time of completion has come. What will that look like?
I have such a hard time picturing complete and perfect resolution similar to a puzzle under construction. All the pieces make up a swirling puzzle of color and the light at the center of the puzzle is the Lord, and through Him we make ready a people prepared for our God. With faith I move forward. Help me pray in the conclusion of this puzzle to see the flawless picture that God has in store.
