A few days ago, again I spoke to the Lord about my overall weakness. I told God that I could do so much more for Him if I were strong. I could go wherever He would send me and I would do whatever He wanted me to do. After I finished pleading with the Lord, I left my prayer closet. Then, I heard Him speak. God said: “I HAVE MANY WHO WOULD GO FOR ME, BUT FEW WHO WOULD STAY. Then, He gave me a scripture address 1 Corinthians 2:12: “What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.”
I was jarred at the Lord's response to me and yet, it calmed my soul. Knowing He could send me if He wanted comforted me in an odd way. I am reminded that He speaks through eternity and it is filled with His voice, I know so little.
What I will document for you here is a prominent dream the Lord gave to me to explain my affliction. He gave scripture Acts 5:29 “...we ought to obey God rather than man” and brought back a dream that occurred in 2016 after I was diagnosed with ALS. I was asking Him if I should pursue an experimental treatment which has an unknown success rate for the weakness. I call it the Oozing Wound Dream.
I was in a hospital with a group of patients who all received a bed except me. I knew the doctors couldn’t help me so I left the hospital. While traveling to a place I had once known, I noticed an oozing wound on my right leg. I knew the wound was large yet it didn’t belong to me. The wound belonged to a man I used to know. It was his wound. I was afflicted because of him.
I found myself again at the hospital and this time I got my hands on a bed. I started to wheel the bed into a patient’s room when I was healed. I noticed I was strong again and had no need of doctors or a hospital. The scripture I received upon waking was: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up.” John 3:14.
My bible has an end references next to John 3:14 and it is Numbers 21:8-9: “Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.’ So, Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so, it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.”
Both of these verses I had previously received while praying for my healing three years earlier. They are explained fully in the Pink Highlighter story in My Sister’s Walk with God (pages 115-117) which is when I was first given the scripture addresses. Here is the story from my book:
“I want to mention here that every time I receive a scripture address, I highlight it in my Bible. I don’t always use the same highlighter color, so my Bible is a patchwork of various highlighter colors. I also write the date I received the address next to the verse. The day I received John 3:14 (September 29, 2013), I was using a pink highlighter, and it was the first time I received the particular scripture, so there was no color highlighting the biblical text. As I highlighted the ‘John’ verse in my Bible (the verse was not highlighted before, nor did it have a date by it), my pink highlighter turned orange on the verse. But not the whole verse as between the lines and on three other end references, it was the normal pink color! See pink highlights in margin and on the three Bible references, but Numbers 21:9 is orange just like the rest of the text! The same miraculous thing happened when I highlighted the Numbers 21:8-9 text! So, the highlighter miracle happened twice, on the two different scriptures and on the same day.”
As I retold the story about the above verses in my book, I explained how they represent the medical community (the fiery serpent on a pole). But more importantly, Jesus as our healer. Also, noteworthy to mention that the highlighter miracle happened on the day when the head pastor (to whom the oozing wound belongs) announced he needed a sabbatical.
The interpretation is simple yet complex if you are not aware of how God uses His intercessors. In the case of this dream, the Lord showed me that the wound which I acquired by interceding for the head pastor (the man I once knew) was not my own. It was thrust on me by the intercession job God assigned to me. Hence, doctors or hospitals will not be able to heal me. The One who will heal me is the Lord God Almighty in His timing. “…For I am the Lord who heals you.” Exodus 15:26.
A recent message from Rabbi Jonathan Cahn: “Encourage yourself today with this fact - God has kept His promises to Israel for thousands of years - He will certainly be faithful and keep His promises to you!”
