Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love dogs. I especially adore pit bulls. My husband and I have owned 6 pits since the early 1980s. We cared for our pits when they were then considered ‘bad’ dogs. Now, the breed is more mainstream and accepted which I am thrilled about…no more ‘outlaw’ dogs. I live for the day when I am stronger and we can adopt another dog, of course, it will be a pit bull dog!
So, when I dream of dogs (unless they appear vicious) I am dreaming of a symbol I am very comfortable with and I desire. Which leads me to a current bulldog dream I had. A few months prior to this dream, I dreamed I was given a baby bulldog as a gift. Apparently, the dog has now gotten bigger.
I was speaking in a crowd when a woman of let’s say, ‘middle eastern’ religion warned me to stop. I did not stop talking but I got bolder and burst out into song about Jesus. I sang at louder and louder decibels when I found I had a bull dog attached to my ankle! I continued singing my Jesus song while I walked out into the sunshine with the dog still attached. Upon waking I heard the word ‘Tenacity’.
Hahaha, dreams can be so funny and I might add, fun to interpret. This dream is not hard to understand. In a nutshell, no one will be able to silence me and if they try, I will just get louder and bolder about my message. The bull dog attached to my ankle is the adjective ‘tenacious’…in other words, tenacity has been bound around me (as stocks & fetters) to my feet. Feet represent the Gospel of Jesus.
From the recent theme of my dreams lately, I believe God is warning of things to come. A time when attempts to quiet the Gospel and believers will be the norm. He is preparing and warning us. I hear the Lord saying “People Get Ready, you will need Bull Dog Tenacity for the days ahead”.
“If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part, He is glorified.” (1 Peter 4:14).
“Why did the nations rage, and the people plot vain things? The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.” (Acts 4:25-26).
After receiving the Bull Dog Tenacity dream, I was reminded of a similar dream. I will recall it here as I believe it encourages faith for all of us to stand while we wait for the Lord to answer us.
I was with my husband in our garage (a place where things are stored – like promises). We were standing in our literal garage and I proclaimed: "I've come too far and too long to give up now to see the revival and all of what God has promised me! I AM GOING TO SEE IT COME TO PASS!” It was short and to the point.
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Matthew 11:12).
I also remind myself of the oath I made to God around the same time: “To proclaim as Abraham did, that no matter how long or what I see in the natural that I will stand on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.” And then God said: “As surely as I live, I will perform the words I have spoken.”
