Mountains of Rice ~ Confirmations of an Apostle's Work

As I am featuring my friend and mentor in the Office of Apostle, Cindy received confirmations too numerous to list for the work God asked her to accomplish.

As her ministry began, she recalls visions given by the Holy Spirit.  One of Cindy’s visions for confirmation of her work as an apostle occurred just after she and her husband moved to Linjiang, China (her husband’s business took them to China).  Here is Cindy:

“Liu Hai Yan, my translator and new friend, took me shopping. We had to step over the prone body of an unconscious elderly man to enter the ramshackle store. I was horrified. No one else even noticed or cared. I had never experienced such poverty and disregard for another human being in my life. It was excruciating. Here I was, shopping for a warm sweater because our house was only a chilly 55 degrees.

Here, these people were dressed in rags in a store with no heat at all, walking down frozen dirt roads to get there. Later I would discover the true nature of their poverty when visiting their homes. Nothing could have prepared me for what I would later find, but for this day, I had to leave, overwhelmed and terribly sad.

When I returned home, I cried out to the Lord, and He answered my prayer with a powerful vision. I saw a small mountain of rice and an endless line of patient people snaking far away. They were not jostling one another or trying to crowd around me, just looking at me with empty bowls and hopeful faces. I asked, Lord! Where do I get a mountain of rice? I don’t have money to buy rice for all these people! He replied, “Just ask.” Such a simple, yet powerful message. I just had to trust and ask. And begin by delivering rice.

Our first delivery was over 9 tons of rice! All I did was ask. And PRAY! The money began coming in and really never stopped for over 23 years! God is so good! If He calls you, He will provide for your needs in abundance. Just ask!”
