I am not the only one who has picked up on the significance of the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, October 6, 1973, and the current war on Israel.  I said earlier, in biblical terms, 50 is the number for Pentecost; freedom; a time or year of Jubilee; hope; number for Holy Spirit; deliverance; being set free from debt; and the restoration of things.

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn recently said: “The 50-year jubilee of the Yom Kippur war, Israel’s enemies took them by surprise because their intelligence failed.  The same took place on a Saturday and a high holy day on October 7th, 2023.

The Jubilee can function as a sign revealing an ancient biblical dynamic at work in the course of human events beyond that of the natural realm.  The Jubilee is a two-sided phenomenon. To the one who has taken or occupied the ancestral land of another, the Jubilee takes away.  But to the one who has lost it, the Jubilee restores.  Each of the two sides involves a return and an undoing of what was done. But one manifests in the form of restitution, justice, or judgment, and the other, in the form of restoration and redemption.  The Jubilee is the time of the return.”

If you have a chance, listen to Jonathan’s new YouTube video on Israel and Hamas.  Very telling!

Lastly, I found this fascinating.  On 10/11/23, Times of Israel wrote: "Jewish communities around the world study and read in synagogues a portion of the Jewish scripture each week.  The portion for the current week is Genesis 6:11-13 which covers the biblical account of Noah and the flood.

The biblical text reads as follows:

"Now the earth was corrupt before G-d and the earth became full of Hamas.

And G-d saw the earth, and behold it become corrupted, for all fresh had corrupted its way on the earth.

And G-d said to Noah, “The end of all flesh come before Me, for the earth has become full of Hamas, because of them behold I am destroying them from the earth”.

In the original Hebrew, ‘Hamas’ is translated variously as violence, robbery and extortion.  Make of it what you will…"

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help?  My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to [a]be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121.

Israel! Do not turn back in the day of battle...

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord. Proverbs 21:31.

God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle. Psalm 140:7.
