John 3:8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes...

With these posts on the winds of heaven and revival, the Lord reminded me of an event from 2007.  I created a revival notebook in January 2007.  On the front cover, I drew the words: FIRE, WIND, and RAIN.  I colored the words with three different colors: red, orange, and yellow.  I hadn’t told my prayer partner at the time until she had a dream; here are her words:

“By the way I had a dream about you and me on Sunday night.  We were standing in front of a huge billboard or sign.  The sign was taller than both of us and you were showing me something on this board.  You were speaking to me as if you were teaching me something you had written on this sign.  I listened and nodded in agreement.  The board was covered with colors like red, yellows, etc. and in the colors, I saw the words: FIRE WIND RAIN (in that order).  All three words were very distinct in that the Lord wanted me to focus on these three words as the main focal point of the dream.”

Could this reminder from the Lord be because we are in the Fire, Wind and Rain seasons?  I think so.  Especially since He gave me a scripture address recently.  1 Kings 18:37-45 which represented fire, wind and rain when Elijah prayed them down from heaven.

“Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.” Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Vs. 37-38.

Then it came to pass the seventh time (of prayer), that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So, he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’”  Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. Vs. 44-45.

Do you see the order of the elements in these verses?  God is speaking a Biblical Paradigm.  A biblical paradigm is how God explains what is currently going on in the spiritual realm by using stories in the bible.  He uses a typical example; pattern of something; or a model in the Bible to explain a current spiritual situation.

I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; and each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’  Zechariah 13:9.

For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29

I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.  Revelation 3:18.

“The last days’ church will be filled with people whose love has become lukewarm (Revelation 3:16). But at the same time, there will be those who will buy gold refined in the fire (Revelation 3:18), and their love for Christ will become a flaming torch. God is going to turn up the heat on His last days’ church, because if He doesn’t, His saints will succumb to apathy, greed, lukewarmness, materialism, and the self-indulgent spirit of the entertainment industry.

Be ready for it in this hour, dear saint. God is going to send or permit calamity to come against His children, and He’s going to delay the answers to our cries for relief in order that He might perfect us into the image of Christ.”  Sorge, Bob. Fire of Delayed Answers.

Next comes the WIND.  It will blow out the dross.  “And as I move in to dwell with you, I will make My presence known.  The storm and wind will blow out the dross and those that have been refined as pure gold will be left and I will reveal Myself to them.”  A cleaning of God’s house, so to speak.

And yet, the wind will also breathe in us ‘new life’.  “The institution will not survive but I will breathe in it, new life.”  Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. Ezekiel 37:5.

Then, the rain which I have spent months talking about as the Lord confirmed with the great California rains!  “I want your mind on things from above, to understand My seasons of harvest.  There was a time of plowing and digging and tough dirt; there was the sowing of seed; then shall there come the rain.  Ask the Lord of the harvest to send the rain.  I am waiting to send your refreshing revival showers, a heavy shower, not a light rain but a latter (heavy) rain will I send.  I am soon to act as you pray for your rain - the latter rain yields a harvest sweeter than the former.

We have seen the rains; we are now seeing the winds…what is next, Lord?

Psalm 104:3 He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who, makes the clouds His chariot, Who, walks on the wings of the wind.
