“Dark speech teaches us that human knowledge cannot encompass reality; therefore, we do not live by the mind but by the Spirit. We learn to rest in inconsistencies of understanding. We have sometimes built our pat systems of thought and behavior over years, and it may take many more years of hearing God’s dark speech, and being fractured by it, before we are willing to rest with a God whose thoughts transcend ours. But the day will come when we can rest with the jagged edges of the unknown and trust that God still has His hand on us in the midst of them.” Sandford, John; Paula Sandford. The Elijah Task.
Learning the language of God’s dark speech includes watching for His ‘signs’. I have wondered if receiving signs of confirmation from the Lord is a lack of faith. So, lately I haven’t sought any confirmations as such. However, the Lord is sending me signs of the White Horse I wrote about under The White Mare. In addition, validations of the Red Sky at Morning, Sailor take Warning prophecy, also under Watchman Dreams.
Since the dream, I have received over 60 white horses through various avenues. Mostly seen in random movies I have watched, but also appearing on my phone, in news articles, and even on an MLB (major-league baseball) commercial! I have been grappled with trying to understand their meaning.
The most recent and one I find bizarre was when I watched a PBS Frontline program on the Israel/Palestinian conflict. During the program at 25 minutes, a man rode a white horse in front of the camera through a war-torn neighborhood. That was it…I knew there were more to the white horse appearances than what I first conceptualized in my dream interpretation in September.
I wrote: “The white horse which could have several meanings. Great strength; powerful in spiritual warfare; a spirit of tenacity; not double minded; a powerful ministry capable of competing against the enemy. I know that is not indicative of me right now. But what if it is me in the future (being healed) or in the Lord’s eyes? In addition, a white horse is symbolic of Christ’s return as it walked in front of me (meaning a future occurrence).”
Since the horse has reoccurred so frequently, perhaps it means something prophetically for us all. But what? If I look at scripture, white horses occur six times. In the book of Zechariah, white horses are mentioned three times (Zech. 1:8, 6:3 and 6:6). The horses in these verses are spirits who roam the whole earth reporting what they have seen, and they are emissaries of God’s judgment against the earth. And the angel answered and said to me, “These are four spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth.
As my friend Wanda Rust has said in these last days, God is looking for those that are righteous and pure according to Zech. 6:3 which is represented by the white horse.
Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless. 2 Peter 3:14.
And in Revelation, white horses are also mentioned three times: Rev. 6:2 for judgment; Rev. 19:11 Christ’s Return and Rev. 19:14 (you and me!) And, the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
“Four spirits of heaven seen in Zechariah: four chariots (with different colored horses) were actually four angelic beings sent from God. Therefore, these may not be exactly the same as the four horsemen of Revelation 6, but the idea of their mission and purpose is similar.” Enduring Word Bible Commentary Zechariah Chapter 6
“Horses have been used for work, war, and transportation for centuries. Two of these three categories usually determine how they’re used in dreams. Although they were the primary means of transportation for centuries, they have been replaced in modern times with “horseless carriages”—automobiles. Also, as in the Scripture from Revelation 19, horses can still mean war. Their courage, speed, and stamina have made them invaluable war allies throughout history. There is one more factor that enters into the interpretation of their messages—time. Their messages are consecutive. Each horse represents a specific period of time; one of the meanings for a horse is “a specific period of time. That time period may be any length that God assigns to it.” Milligan, Ira L., The Ultimate Guide to Understanding the Dreams You Dream.
There is much evidence of Jesus and the prophets using everyday objects to illustrate or find spiritual meaning in the Scriptures. Jeremiah watched the potter’s wheel (Jer. 18–19) and saw God forming His creatures. The same is true today, we can find the Lord speaking through everyday objects (i.e., a white horse) to make a spiritual point. He did the same thing with 10:10 on clocks.
If you have read My Sister’s Walk with God (pages 427-437), is a segment on the 10:10 phenomena that has followed me since 2007. I kept seeing it everywhere on clocks, phones, in stores. Even in odd places like a PowerPoint presentation I created and inside an old pair of pants! I trusted that the Lord would eventually solve the mystery that occurred for 13 years and He did in 2020.
The mystery was describing a time in the future. Hence, why 10:10 was identified as a time for all those years. In addition, a time in the events of human history. Ten plus ten equals twenty. The year 2020. Once 10/10 arrived on the calendar in the given year of our Lord’s choice, the clandestine event gelled.
I know God brought many things together at one time on that prophetic date. It pointed to the signs of our time being fulfilled quickly like an hourglass that the Lord turned over in 2020. The nations are being weighed in His balances as the sands of time run through an hourglass.
Therefore, if I look at the totality of the 10:10 (2020) prophetic event, along with the verses of the white horses, they equate to judgment, war and end-times, ultimately Jesus’ Return. So, my conclusion thus far is that the white horse’s appearance points to a specific period of time in the future which is unfolding swiftly (like a horse runs).
Do you see how the Spirit uses signs and dark speech to confirm or point to a message the Lord is conveying? And the repetitiveness of the sign is equally important. Meaning, the Lord will surely bring it to pass (similar to repeating theme dreams). In addition, the more frequent the occurrence indicates the imminent fulfillment of His awesome work. How exciting!
Revelation 19:11 Christ on a White Horse, Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. psalm 20:7.
