Crisis Looms

The following dream was given at the end of 2014 after I was released from the ten-year prayer assignment for my old church.  Why am I bringing this up now?  Because the Lord gave me a scripture address this morning with the same word of prophecy contained in the Dimon’s Prophecy (located under this Archive series).  I sense He is telling me that the dream from 2014 foretold what has recently taken place at my old church.

A quote from Dimon’s Prophecy and the word of the Lord that repeated in the 2014 dream: “I knew that the dream was prophetic because of the old prophecy I heard upon waking: “Beware of the curve but do take the turn for crisis looms in the ministry.”  The prophecy given by an unknown prophet to an associate pastor is interesting for me to remember years from when it was given, telling me this dream pertains to my old church.”

The dream from November 2014 is called Crisis Looms.  I am in a line of cars on a highway.  The road started to curve left in the distance.  I got word that there was an accident up ahead and as I did, the cars in front of me started sliding and skidding to the left because the highway was closed.  I did the same and abruptly stopped. 

There were two crash sites.  One on the highway in the distance and a motorcycle crash before the road curved left (in other words, the motorcycle was the first crash to come), which was ahead of all the cars.

I exited my car and walked past the motorcycle accident site.  It involved a man who had gone over an embankment, was thrown off his bike and greatly injured or killed.  There was confusion.  Either way, I wasn’t interested in looking, helping or knowing more.  I exited the scene, though others were assisting in the clean-up. 

Arise, let us go from here.  (John 14:31b).

Upon waking I heard: “Beware of the curve but do take the turn for crisis looms in the ministry.”  Then, scriptures were received. 

For this, clothe yourself with sackcloth, lament and wail for the fierce anger of the Lord has not turned back from us.  (Jeremiah 4:8).

Your ways and your doings have procured these things for you.  This is your wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reaches to your heart.  (Jeremiah 4:18).

“For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it,” says the Lord God.  (Ezekiel 12:25).

At the time I was sent the dream in 2014, I thought the departure (aka crash) of the head pastor was imminent.  Let’s look at the symbolism in the dream.  Highway is God’s way, in other words, the ‘High’ Way.  And a car is a person’s life.  It can also represent ones’ ministry.

Left as in turning (the road and the skidding cars) indicate a spiritual turn as the accident or death causes all following the man (on the motorcycle) to slide and stop abruptly.   An auto wreck is representative of strife, conflict, crisis, or sin in a ministry.

A motorcycle’s meaning from The Ultimate Guide to Understanding the Dreams You Dream, Ira L. Milligan:  

Motorcycle – Individual: Personal ministry; independence; rebellion; selfish; pride; swift.  If you’ve ever ridden a motorcycle and had an accident, motorcycles may mean sudden calamity to you!

Do you see the meaning of the dream?  It is quite simple, showing us that many who were following this man will be stopping (their walks with the Lord) to evaluate the situation.  The sudden calamity will cause confusion on their way. 

But notice also the two crash sites.  The first is the motorcycle accident of the head pastor which is followed by all the cars skidding towards another crisis or turn up ahead which closed the highway.  I believe it is the financial crisis that Dimon’s Prophecy predicts. 

As for me, my reaction was concerning because I walked past the scene not interested in helping.  How rude of me!  Perhaps it is due to the fact that I would be removed from the head pastor’s ministry for seven years (seven meaning “complete,” “finished,” or “rest”) before the crash happens.

I hope you do not read this dream and related articles about my old church as me boasting of what I have heard.  My goal is to reveal the unfolding ways of the prophetic.  To shine light on the Lord’s manifesting words and intentions revealed slowly over time.  I am learning this truth as His prophecies currently play out. 

I believe God wants this information memorialized for anyone to read but especially those who may learn to turn from their sin before the same befalls them.  Isn’t that the objective of our gracious Lord, to turn hearts back to Him in repentance?

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.  (2 Peter 3:9).
