As I said last week: “We will have safety and peace while living in His land of covenant and working; and we will know Him more as Lord of our lives when He is our Deliverer.  Delivering us from the yoke of affliction; oppression and our enemies.  This will create in us such a joy and a peace that others will be a witness to it and rejoice with us.  His wonders will bring multitudes into the Kingdom of God.”

I want to continue on with Ezekiel 34:27 as it aligns with verse 28.  I see more to investigate in these two promises of safety and deliverance.

Let’s start with verse 27b: They shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them.  First of all, notice we will be delivered and safe.  Hence, God will get the glory because we and others around us will know that He did it: 'They shall know that I am the Lord'!

And our yoke (burdens) will be broken: Then his yoke shall be removed from them, and his burden removed from their shoulders.  Isaiah 14:25b.

Our protection and deliverance will be for His fame and reputation.  It settles His eminence when His people are safe and at peace, especially when we proclaim it.   He does not work miracles without expecting us to spread the news of His work.  It is our duty to exclaim it!  Remember that, miracles are signs for those around us to bring an awareness of Who He Is!  The Great I AM!

Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. Psalm 145:6.

The Lord carries on the message in verse 28: And they shall no longer be a prey for the nations, nor shall beasts of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and no one shall make them afraid.  We pray the Lord’s Prayer, “Deliver us from evil”; and in the Covenant of Peace God guarantees this request.

“God is saying that in His Covenant of Peace, you will no longer be prey. He will position you with the right people in every circumstance. Despite your areas of weakness, God will ensure that you are surrounded with people who will be a source of strength to you. These people will watch over and protect your investment (of any kind). God will give you wisdom to identify men and women of integrity who will fill the gaps in every area of weakness in your life.”  Saunders, Shawn. The Covenant of Peace (pp. 35-36).

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.  Psalm 121:7.

This next verse in the Book of Daniel, God used as a rhema (scripture for personal application) word to me: Those who do wickedly against the covenant (H)e shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. Daniel 11:32.  I believe the Lord is saying that He will fight against those who do wickedly against us while we are under His Covenant of Peace dwelling safely.  Not only that, but we will do great exploits in His name!

While He fights against our adversaries, He will also remove our burdens and deliver us.  The Lord will deliver us to prove His word and to elevate His name in the sight of our enemies.  Yes, He does it for us so that we may boast about God’s marvelous works…for His glory.

I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.  Psalm 9:1.

Lastly, God enlightened me that He will send His Angel ahead to do His work and to help us.  In Exodus 23:20-22: “Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries."

In fact, Gideon had an encounter whereby he memorialized the event with an alter titled ‘The-Lord-Is-Peace’ Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the Lord. So, Gideon said, “Alas, O Lord God! For I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face.” Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.” So, Gideon built an altar there to the Lord, and called it The-Lord-Is-Peace.  Judges 6:22-23.

When angels are involved in our affairs through the covenant, they also can impart peace and strength to us.  Take another example Daniel 10:19: And he said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!” So, when he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

I want to do great exploits for our God; I want to have exquisite testimonies for His fame, and I want you to have the same.  It is possible under His Covenant of Peace.

For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.  Acts 4:20.
