Be Aware of Strange Dreams

It seems to me that the stranger the dream...the more the dream offends me, the more likely the dream is from God.

Three months prior to me building this website, I had a foretelling dream.  I was standing atop a seventy-story skyscraper, I had been training to jump. I say the Lord’s Prayer as I let go, jump and start falling.  I’m not sure if I’m afraid.  I go slow at first as I pass each floor, but then I just let go.  The clouds are light grey and misty around the building.  I can’t see ground and am falling fast. I land at the bottom without any issues and as I do, I am writing a blog.  The song I awoke to was ‘Free Falling’, by Tom Petty:   

The simple interpretation of this dream is that the Lord was foretelling that I would be writing a blog.  It wasn’t until three months later when I received an email from my publisher giving me the opportunity to create this website.  The number seventy represents God’s administration, insight, restoration and impartation of God’s Spirit.  Negatively, seventy can mean exile, punishment or captivity.  A skyscraper is related to revelation or spiritual experience.  I believe me reciting the Lord’s Prayer as I jumped is akin to making sure this unknown (grey misty clouds) venture is from Him.  In other words, may His will be done as I take this leap of faith.
