During the building of our pool, I encountered a baby rattlesnake on our property near the pool. It was the end of the day and all the workers had gone for the day. Bobby was not home.
The dogs were running loose around the yard and I knew I couldn’t let the snake get away; they are even more lethal when young. I cried out to Jesus and He told me to go get a large pot and throw it on top of the snake.
The snake was moving so I had to be quick. I ran and got the pot, praying the whole time that it would land on the snake’s head and cut it off. I threw the pot and it landed squarely on the snake…it didn’t move. Mind you, I am not a good thrower. I did not know if I had killed it or not.
In the morning of the next day when the workers arrived, I told them what happened the evening before after they had left. I asked them to take care of the snake and they told me I cut the snake’s head off by throwing the pot!
The Lord miraculously took care of the issue :)
In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me. Psalm 86:7
One Last Miraculous Pool Event; A Grounding
It took approximately eight months to build the pool with a decking of pavers. One last miraculous event took place on the day of final inspection, and we were excited to have the job complete.
I was at work when the inspector arrived. Bobby met with him and we received bad news. A bad report.
Unbeknownst to us during the time we were building the pool, the county put a new law into effect. The inspector told my husband we needed a grounding wire around the border of the pool. Needless to say, Bobby was speechless!
The circumference of the pool decking was covered with pavers, not an inexpensive building material.
Regardless, the inspector told Bobby we would need to pull it up and redo the whole area. Bobby called me. We were both in shock. No one informed us.
I began to pray fervently while at work. Ten minutes later I received a phone call from Bobby. The inspector left the property and called back to tell him that he had signed off on the project…we were grandfathered in according to him!
Again, we were in surprise but this time at the wonderful answer to prayer so quickly from our Lord for HIS pool.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him… Psalm 91:15
I completed the job God assigned to me by building the pool; next I wait for Him to move in the power of HIS SPIRIT!
For since the beginning of the world
Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear,
Nor has the eye seen any God besides You,
Who acts for the one who waits for Him. Isaiah 64:4
