A Lot of Blowing and Shaking

Two months after our California rains stopped in March 2023, God announced the winds of His Spirit will blow.  The Lord had me preparing articles for posting in early August.  The morning I posted ‘Blows from the West’, news broke on the Lahaina, Maui fire.  It was spurred on by hurricane-force winds.   

A little over a week later, California had a once in a 100-year hurricane!  We were directly in the eye as it passed over San Diego. 

Now, you are probably thinking ‘No big deal’, except that the Lord has told us He will bring winds, just as He foretold the rains!  And these winds symbolize the fresh winds from heaven that will blow in His revival.  Remember, during the rains I wrote on the significance of three’s (Sent a Plentiful Rain ~ Signs of Our Time)?  “I want you to notice the three's going on here.  2023 (three!), the year of our Lord, would have been a third year of drought.  Three means to conform and to conform to His image; also, the Trinity.” 

Well, we are still in 2023 and it just so happens that we (San Diego) received three inches of rain in Escondido from Hurricane Hillary.  And, my niece brought to my attention, Hillary was not alone before she hit.  She had two other hurricane siblings with her, Greg and Fernanda!  Three hurricanes!

Notice below, the time stamps when the hurricane path was predicted…10:10!  It was downgraded from a category 4 to a tropical cyclone which has never made landfall in California at hurricane intensity in recorded history. 

In addition, “A first, as Category 5 storms have formed in every ocean basin this year, 2023.  This week alone, two tropical cyclones leaped to Category 5 intensity in two days — Hurricane Jova in the northeastern Pacific on Wednesday, closely followed by Hurricane Lee in the Atlantic on Thursday. The pair of storms intensified with astonishing haste, their peak winds increasing 90 mph and 85 mph, respectively, in 24 hours.”

Jova becomes Western Hemisphere's strongest hurricane so far in 2023 (msn.com).

“As of Friday morning (9/8/23, 1 month to the day of the Lahaina fires), Jova was centered about 550 miles to the southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, Mexico… at Category 5 status with 160 mph winds.  However, the storm poses no immediate threat to land, AccuWeather hurricane experts say."

There is a lot of blowing going on!  Now, some will attribute this to ‘climate change’ and it could well be.  But, isn’t our God the ONE who has His Hand on the climate controls? 

He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from His storehouses.  Psalm 135:7.

Another event happened the same day the hurricane made landfall in California.  An earthquake of 5.5 hit the Los Angeles area.  Hurriquake: 5.5 Magnitude Earthquake in LA During Historic Tropical Storm (breitbart.com). 

When You, God, went out before Your people, when You marched through the wilderness, the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain… Psalm 68:7-8.

Then, I began to notice a flurry of earthquakes happening.  Mind you, California experiences about five hundred quakes a year, so this might not be a big deal.  But what if the Lord is speaking?  Let’s look at the pattern.

• May 2023 ~ three quakes in San Diego County: two quakes happen one second apart on different fault lines; and then, a third 3.6er shook.
• Aug-Sept. 2023 ~ three quakes in San Diego County: 3.0; 3.1; 3.7.
• Aug-Sept. 2023 ~ three quakes north of Los Angeles County: 5.0 (Redding); 4.4 and 5.0 (Shasta County).

Also, in this time period…Morocco was hit with a rare, powerful earthquake (6.8).  More than 2,900 dead and it occurred on 9/8/23, the same day as the Lahaina fires AND Hurricane Jova.

We were only half way through September and flooding rains from Mediterranean Storm Daniel swept across eastern Libya, killing 2,000+.  The deadly severe weather system, brought historic amounts of rain across the Mediterranean and North Africa. The same storm brought "biblical proportions" of rainfall to Greece, claiming at least 14 lives.

In addition, more than 11,300 are dead in Libya after catastrophic flooding broke dams and swept away homes on 9/13/23!  10,000 are still missing.

Again, it might not be anything, but as for me and my house, we are watching for the Lord. 

If only You would tear open the heavens and come down! The mountains would shake before You, as when fire burns the wood and causes the water to boil. Come and make Your name known to those who are against you, that the nations may shake in fear before You! Isaiah 64:1-2.

I will take my stand and keep watch. I will take my place on the tower. And I will keep watch to see what the Lord will say, and how I should answer when He speaks strong words to me. Habakkuk 2:1.
