Sent a Plentiful Rain ~ Signs of Our Time ~ Part 2

Some reading this website might have a hard time believing that the Lord answered ‘our’ prayers in such a dramatic way regarding the rains.  But I am reminded that the effective prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16).  And that God delights in our faith in believing He has answered us.  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Hebrews 11:6.

In addition, Elijah was just one man and through his prayers (seven times), rain came from the ‘west’ (1 Kings 18:44).  It was the Spirit who woke me up from a dream to ask me to pray for the rain; who sent the confirmations we were on the right track and His answer was poured out.  Just Believe!

This current outpouring was spectacular.  Though some may see it as judgment on California, which it could be in conjunction with being a blessing.  Drought is certainly a method God uses to get man’s attention when disobedient.  Therefore, the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain. You have had a harlot’s forehead; You refuse to be ashamed. Jeremiah 3:3.

With the loss of property, damage and sometimes life; the Lord of Creation sends rain on both the righteous and the unrighteous.  That you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.  Matthew 5:45.

So, why is the rain so important to me you might wonder?  Because the physical rains we have received symbolize the Latter Rain aka the spiritual rain that I believe is here and will be physically manifesting shortly.  Rain has been an important sign to me since 2007 when the Lord told me to pray for revival.  Since then, the sign of the rain has followed me. 

As believers, we are to discern the signs of the times and I definitely know that this is one of those signs.  Then He also said to the multitudes, “Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming’; and so, it is. Luke 12:54.

As I have learned, west symbolizes revival, but also the end of a day…sunset.  The latter days indicating the prophesied Latter Rain. And a thought, we live in the “west” as in America.  Revival could come out of the west, maybe even California!

Malachi 4:5 says, Elijah will come before the great and terrible day of the Lord ushering in the Latter Rain.  The spirit of Elijah is already present on this earth in the form of God's end-time prophets.  

He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.'  Luke 1:17.

If you have read my two posts; He Who Has an Ear, Let Him Hear and The Latter Rain on Its Way ... you can see a pattern in what the Lord is announcing.  The Latter Rain, revival and the great day of the Lord is being declared.  I don’t think it a coincidence that God taught about the Covenant of Peace at this time.  He is lining us up, preparing us to hide in His peace and be refreshed anew!

Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in PEACE, without spot and blameless. 2 Peter 3:14.
