“I want your mind on things from above, to understand My seasons of harvest. There was a time of plowing and digging and tough dirt; there was the sowing of seed; then shall there come the rain. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send the rain…a heavy shower, not a light rain but a latter (heavy) rain will I send. I am soon to act as you pray for your rain - the latter rain yields a harvest sweeter than the former.”
1 Kings 18:45 Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain...
The watercolor illustrations for this post were painted by my prayer partner (Cindy) for the revival rains that are coming. We started praying for this rain as declared by the Lord in July 2022. Shortly thereafter, Cindy received a vision of the rains. It was that vision that inspired her paintings.
“This is powerful stuff. I’ve just been having a short rain vision. It’s real rain, though. It’s happened several times, or more that I remember, off and on throughout the day. It is heavy, dark rain with colors in it and sparkles. It’s different, a powerful rain.”
A week after His pronouncement, I received rain at my house which is retold in next week's post The Latter Rain on Its Way. Then in August, monsoon rains hit the southwest region of U.S. including California.
In addition, rain was received at my house on the day before the Feast of Tabernacles in October (which I will get into in a later post). And we got almost two inches on November 8th. Yes, I’m tracking the rains to make sure the Lord of the Rain keeps His word! I know He will😊
