The House by Meef

Lord my house has seen much heartache,
I get hurt when others sin.
And I’m left with many house guests,
Who feel the need to just move in.
 
Bitterness has brought her pillow,
In the guest room there she lies.
Every morning I wake up
To bitter thoughts and evil eyes.
 
Vengeance moved in and is constant,
I don’t think she ever sleeps.
She’s persistent in her game plan,
You should see the list she keeps.
 
Hatred is the worst of house guests,
She is mean and base and vile.
Lord, I fear she’ll never move out,
She’s been here for quite a while.
 
Self pity is the most annoying
And she moved in yesterday,
She’s so sneaky you can’t trust her,
And I fear she baits her prey.
 
Unwelcome houseguests fill the rooms
And dominate the atmosphere.
I’m so tired of their presence,
Could forgiveness please move here?
