FIRE SEASON IS OVER?

This post is a continuation of the dream ‘Fire Season’. To review, the first part of the dream had me at the top of a dry mountain. The property had Bougainvillea with thorns living on it. It was told to me by a ‘Fire’ professional that the Bougainvillea was a fire hazard. It had to be removed because it was fire season. 

I didn’t remove the plant. I merely noticed everything, heard the voice and started down the mountain. 

Next, as I was walking down the mountain it turned green. It was green everywhere like after rain in spring.

And, it had just rained. I saw the large amounts of new green grass growing by the roadside and beyond. Tall blades, about three feet high with stalks as wide as tree trunks of wild green grass. Bobby was now walking with me on my left. 

The Fire professional’s voice again spoke telling me it was better to have grass growing because it was more natural and fire retardant than what was at the top of the mountain. He insinuated fire season was over.

Bobby and I got to the bottom of the mountain. I turned to him and exclaimed “I am walking fine” and he said to me: “Yes, I thought you knew. You’ve been walking like this for a while!”

I, all of a sudden realized I was normal, walking long ways when we got off the mountain. I was joyous but surprised that I didn’t see it before.

At the bottom of the mountain and in the final scene, I was to change clothes.

Upon contemplation, I heard the song from Mary Poppins STEP IN TIME!

“Step in time, step in time, Step in time, step in time; Never need a reason, never need a rhyme, we step in time, we step in time, Kick your knees up! Kick your knees up, step in time.” Step In Time (From "Mary Poppins").

I hope you like this second part of the dream as much as I do!

Asking God, He gave: Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water… There shall be grass with reeds and rushes. Isaiah 35:5-7.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17.

So, we remember a mountain is exalted and/or an obstacle; difficulty; challenge. We are descending the mountain, which in one instance could mean a downfall, but if we look at the context of this dream, it means coming off of the mountain of affliction.

Also: “Bougainvillea represents a thorn in my flesh” like the Apostle Paul had. That thorn, my affliction needs to be removed. Its flammable and burns in my soul. It needs to go."

I recall vividly the tall new green grass, wild grasses on the right-hand side of the road we were walking down. Live grass is green, and the root meaning for green is “life, healing.” 

Green: new life; prosperity; praise; provision; restoration; healing; rest; peace; a good life. Grass: the green pastures of God; life. A fresh, new start!

It had just rained. Rain is life: revival; Holy Spirit; Word of God, in the positive sense. Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1.

So, we have, green, grass and rain all signifying life and newness. And my husband’s comment to me when we got to the bottom: “I thought you knew you have been doing this (walking) for a while.” This gives me new hope.

This dream coincided with the 'time change' and we had rain for the last two weeks thereafter! Western US soaked by storms. Funny, I watched the new Spring Baking Championship, and the set was all in green even their aprons.

From my sis, Wendy: "Faith springs eternal. Spring is new. A new beginning?? This is just one of the many mountain dreams that you and I have had. But you are not going up which could mean insurmountable, but you are coming down so much easier and attainable."
