In addition, with the above verse, I was reminded of a prophetic word God spoke that I believe embraces His Intercessors, Prophets and Seers along with those who are waiting for fulfillment of His revival promises. I call it the Enduring Farmer word.
“The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.” (2 Timothy 2:6).
“Daughter, have I not told you that you will be refreshed first?” Jesus, I don’t know what that means… “It means that the enduring farmer, the one who has gone before all the brethren, the one who has labored hard in My fields, will be the first to taste the rain…will be the first to hear My voice and ecstasy of a heavenly kind when I pour My Spirit out in a mighty way. You have labored long; you have labored hard; and you will not be disappointed. You will be refreshed as the dew in the morning; you will enjoy the coolness on your face first. You have labored long for Me, and you have been zealous for My cause. In this, I will not disappoint.”
“Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.” (Leviticus 26:5, 10 & 12).
“You shall eat the old harvest and clear out the old because of the new.” (Vs 10).
“I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.” (Vs 12).
“Therefore, be patient until the coming of the Lord; see how the farmer waits for the precious fruit, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.” (James 5:7).
I want to mention the Lord’s reference to the land and harvests which was evident in the scripture addresses He gave. The land (and harvests) God promises to each of us is discovered through prayer and it is possessed through faith. In other words, our Promised Land is our sphere of influence in this world.
Vernon McGee so aptly stated: “Possess the land! No one shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life (Joshua 1:1–8). Just as Joshua possessed the land by faith, possess today by faith your spiritual inheritance. Take it all by faith—we are in enemy territory. God gave the Israelites 350,000 miles; the tribes only possessed 30,000!”
I trust this word from the Lord will include the refreshing of the minds and bodies of His Intercessors and those waiting for His promises to be fulfilled. The best is yet to come!
