I begin this post on God’s Glory by asking you a question. Have you ever thought God may glorify us on this earth to bring Himself glory and if so, would you be afraid of that?
During a prayer time the Lord spoke a prophetic word. I call it the Glory of the Godhead word. I have wondered if this word is for me or we (the church collectively). This has been the dilemma of hearing God’s voice. I have no other formula for resolution except for the unction of the Holy Ghost directing my thoughts. I sense the word is for anyone who seeks the Lord with all their heart, soul and strength. May it be so, Lord Jesus!
Jesus started with a scripture address, Isaiah 60:4: “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.”
The Lord gave a second verse, Isaiah 55:5. “Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, and nations who do not know you shall run to you, because of the Lord your God, and the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified you.” What was the Lord saying? Amazingly, the second scripture Isaiah 55:5 in my bible referenced back to Isaiah 60:4-5. But not visa-versa, so I knew God was speaking.
Then, He spoke: “And in that day when I bring you forth, all the glory of the Godhead will be upon you. Not for your glory but for Mine. For I will not give My glory to another. I say, you have been found worthy to carry forth My glory in earthen vessels but watch ever so circumspectly, for great would be the fall if the enemy got his way. Keep yourselves undefiled and know it is all for My glory and fame. Believe miracles are for today. Your joy will be full.”
In addition, God gave more scripture: “To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the OIL OF JOY for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:3).
“Also, your people shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.” (Isaiah 60:21).
I must admit how puzzled I was and still am at what the Lord said, though He continues to confirm this message through more scripture:
“To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:19).
“And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.” (John 1:16).
“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” (Colossians 2:9–10).
I ask you again, have you ever thought God may glorify us on this earth to bring Himself glory and if so, would you be afraid of that? Would you be willing to be sent forth for Him with all the glory of the Godhead upon you? I believe that day when the Lord spoke, something was set in motion and continues to be in motion to bring about the awesome work that God has said is coming. His Glory and our Revival!
