A few days into the California lockdown, I dreamed. I call the dream, “Fly Me to the Moon”. I sense the dream predicts how the Lord will use the current pandemic for His glory.
In the dream, I was transported to the moon with a small group of people. An ocean was covering the moon. We flew closely over the water and I saw a few large rocks in the water. I surveyed the surface of the ocean covering the moon. In the last scene of the dream, I watched a space capsule containing the astronauts land in the ocean after descending from space. I awoke to the song by Frank Sinatra, “Fly Me to the Moon”:
What in the world is the interpretation of this dream? Well, let us look at the symbols. Mind you, I had no idea this was a dream from God until I investigated the symbols. To my surprise, according to “The Ultimate Guide to Understanding the Dreams You Dream” by Ira Milligan; the moon represents the church (true or apostate). “…the moon represents “God’s children collectively. ‘And [God] hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus’ (Eph. 2:6). The Church is the lesser light that God set in the heavens to rule the night.”
In addition, the moon signals prophetic events. One of its purposes is to be a sign to mankind and to help mankind mark the passing of time and the rotation of the earth. Hence, the moon in my dream represents the church and it is also a sign. A sign of what? We will find out as the interpretation unfolds. Notice the words to the song that I awoke to, it sounds to me like the Lord singing to His church.
Okay, now let’s move on to the ocean also known as the sea. The sea represents humanity, people, nations…the unsaved Gentiles. Isaiah 60:5 proclaims a gathering of the Gentiles to God, in other words, a revival of sorts. “Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea (the Gentiles) shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.”
The dream’s meaning is taking shape. I was a witness along with others (possibly those with a similar calling) to the church (the moon in my dream) being surrounded by the nations or humanity (the sea in my dream). To me, it appears that the moon (aka Christ’s church) will be a sign to unbelievers (the sea) in order to usher in the great ingathering of Believers before the Second Coming of Christ. In other words, those who will come into the church in the end-time revival.
Digging deeper, the rocks in the sea symbolize the Lord Jesus, the Rock of our salvation. And an astronaut is one who walks on the moon (walks in the church). Astronauts visit heavenly places, they are given a ‘birds eye view’ to see other worldly things (so too, intercessors & prophets). The capsule carrying the astronauts landed in the sea, aka humanity. I believe this to mean the astronauts are those the Lord has called to know what is coming for His church (the prophets, seers, evangelists and intercessors) and will be used to call the nations to Him. To help bring in the great in-gathering to His church.
As I sought the Lord on this understanding, God graciously gave me a scripture address of Isaiah 55:5: “Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, and nations who do not know you shall run to you, because of the Lord your God, and the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified you”. To my delight in my bible, Isaiah 55:5 has an end reference of Isaiah 60:5 (the verse I was given for the interpretation of the sea). Therefore, the understanding of the dream’s meaning was approved by the Lord and for His glory.
