In the dream Look to Abraham: A Friend of God ~ Father of the Faithful, I wrote:

“I have to say when you walk in the fire of delayed answers as many of us have, I for one have a tendency to question whether I am on the right track.  Whether I am doing God's will as well as being in the center of His will.  If I am working to fulfill my end of the covenant, is He doing the same?  And yet there is one who has walked longer and farther than I have...Abraham!”

Look to Abraham: A Friend of God ~ Father of the Faithful – Believe Miracles Are for Today (believemiraclesr42day.com)

While writing up that dream, I had a recollection of a vision given to me by my older sister, Sherry.  It was July 2016 and I had recently been given a deadly diagnosis, ALS.  My family grieved for me and prayed fervently; I am sure.  During this time, Sherry was given seven visions, but this particular one foretold the long faith walk that I would endure…like Abraham!

God told her and her husband to pray for me for seven consecutive days always reading Psalm 31 each time.  During this time period a sequence of visions were given to her.  The camel vision occurred on the third day.

Here is Sherry in her own words: “Pam was crouched down by a pool of crystal-clear translucent water, dipping her hand into the cool calm water back and forth. Jesus appeared beside her and crouched down next to her. Smiling, He touched her forehead.

Pam got up without any effort and mounted a colorfully decorated camel. Jesus also stood. In His hands was an open Bible. It was open to Psalm 31. He closed the book and placed it carefully into a saddlebag telling Pam to “Go”. As Pam started to go, a golden chalice encrusted with jewels appeared in her left hand.”

The verses in the Psalm that stands out to me regarding my then situation:

In You, O LORD, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness. Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily; be my Rock of Refuge, a fortress of defense to save me. For You are my Rock and my fortress; therefore, for Your name’s sake, lead me and guide me. (Psalm 31:1-3).

Let’s take a look at what this vision was predicting.  First, the symbols in visions are like that of dreams, so here we go.  A pool of translucent water speaks of our Lord who is our Living Water (an oasis).  In addition, the Spirit who can quench our thirst during a journey.  A camel represents provision, endurance and water (their humps contain fat for energy when used keeps a camel hydrated) for a trip in the wilderness.  Isn’t that where we would see camels travel?

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. (Hebrews 10:36).

I was also given a chalice in which to drink during the journey; and of course, the Living Word for my food…the Bible.  The back-and-forth motion of my hand in the Water is interesting.  To me it speaks of the backward and forward motion of the long journey, similar to two steps forward and one step back or vice-versa.  It also suggests the same between two persons (dicker, exchange) which are me and God communicating.

The Lord touched my forehead, perhaps like an anointing and told me to “Go”, sending me on my way into the desert wilderness with the Word (food) that is sufficient for the trip and a jeweled cup which signifies Divine provision for drinking.

“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” (Malachi 3:17).

What would I find in the wilderness, on this journey for the Lord God of Abraham?  I believe I am finding the desert blooms!  According to Isaiah 35:1-2:

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, even with joy and singing…they shall see the glory of the Lord, the excellency of our God.

During this arduous trip, God has spared me as Malachi 3:17 states.  A year after I was diagnosed, the doctors reversed the diagnosis.  Also, if I were not in the wilderness of affliction, I would not see how the Lord can make it bloom.  I am still on this desert journey, but I can see how my reduced activity has produced roses for our God.

If I had not been afflicted, would I have written a book?  No, I wanted to keep my journals private and especially, the difficult ten-year prayer assignment against the jezebel spirit.  But the book was miraculously picked up by a Publisher, COVENANT (confirming He is fulfilling our Covenant) Books!

And out of the book’s publishing came an offer for a website promoted by Covenant Books, which you are currently reading.  None of this would have happened if I had not been sent on this long journey by Jesus.  I can truly say “He will make a Way, where there seems to be no way.”  I wonder if Abraham said the same thing!
