I have given much thought to whom I should feature as an example for the Office of Prophet. Though Rabbi Cahn probably has a fivefold ministry (based on his background); it is the prophetic ministry that he is involved in that spurs me to highlight his calling into the ministry.

“Jonathan Cahn, also fondly known as “The nice Jewish boy” became involved in full-time ministry soon after his college years. From an early age Jonathan questioned his Jewish upbringing rejecting most of its teachings. Consequently, he decided not to partake in the usual Bar Mitzvah ceremonies, a traditional rite of passage for young Jewish teenage boys. He became an atheist.
In seventh grade he became friends with a boy who spoke to him about Jesus, which prompted him to investigate more, searching for answers to his many questions about life and God. He came across Hal Lindsey’s popular book, "The Last Great Planet Earth" wherein he found evidence of his Jewish Messiah through the prophecies in the Hebrew Scriptures. He read about all the fulfilled prophecies of the bible.
This seemed to be a turning point for him, but Jonathan still continued to live his life as he always did, including participating in a rock band. But one thing that did change at that time is his insistence on telling others about Jesus the Messiah although he himself had not yet made a commitment to the Lord. He made a deal with God, “If you give me a long life, I will accept you”. Then at age 20, he was almost killed twice.
After two close calls that could easily have resulted in his death (two accidents, one including a train!), Jonathan miraculously escaped without any injury and came to realize that if he was to take the Scriptures seriously, he would need to make a full commitment to the Lord.
At the age of 20, grateful that God had spared his life he drove to a tranquil spot at the top of a mountain, knelt down in prayer and dedicated his life to the Lord. This marked a major turning point for him.
It wasn’t long after that Jonathan was asked to teach a Bible study which led to his first ministry that mainly focused on assisting the needy, the homeless and disabled. Several years later in 1988, he was asked to lead Beth Israel, which with his leadership has grown to be the largest Messianic congregation in the U.S., consisting of both Jews and Gentiles worshiping the Messiah Jesus.
Years after his conversion, the Lord led Cahn back to the mountain, and he brought his Bible, a prayer shawl, a flashlight and a shofar. He found the same rock and "I had a great time with God." The next day, Cahn was preaching at a conference when he met a woman who knew all about the mountain. She gave him a picture of a man standing on a mountain with a prayer shawl and a Bible.
I said, “That's strange, because that was me last night,” Cahn says. Cahn told the woman all about the mountain when she said, "I know the mountain. ... That mountain is dedicated to Satan." Cahn was shocked but told her of his salvation story. "On top of it? That's where they gather together," Cahn says the woman said. "Well, I got saved. There's this rock I kneeled down on," Cahn told the woman. "That's the altar!" She said. "And that kind of explains my walk," Cahn says. "It has not been normal from the very beginning."

Another reason I highlighted this prophet is because my mentor and I have had prophetic dreams with Jonathan in them. My dream confirmed the building of this website to prepare the way of the Lord. What purpose? For the end times since I have been told that I have an end time ministry.
Also, the Beth Israel Worship Center in New Jersey is located on Railroad Avenue (remembering Jonathan was hit by a train but saved)! Cindy’s dream takes place in a railroad yard!

On a final note, if you listened to his testimony (Jonathan Cahn Testimony - Sid Roth – It’s Supernatural! | sidroth.org), God saved Rabbi from a train accident unbelievably. I’ve driven in Ford Pintos, and they were dangerous cars, so to be hit by a train, not blown up and not receive a scratch is too miraculous to fathom. And yet, that is what spurred Jonathan’s call into ministry. Amazing is our God!
