The Name of the Lord is a Strong Tower

Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, stand fast in the Lord…I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel…and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.  Philippians 4:1-3.

These are the verses I received through prayer concerning the following dream.  This dream was received at the beginning of the year as I was receiving direction on intercession for the nations.  I am glad the Lord gave scriptures because otherwise, I would be hard-pressed to understand its meaning.  But, with the verses He has given the meaning comes into view.

The dream starts with me in a white concierge suite (a business concierge is a caretaker who delivers supreme customized services) with two other people, we were wearing white clothing.  It was similar to renting a suite for an occasion, a large meeting area.  Not as large as a conference hall, no beds were seen just chairs and large windows.

We were waiting for another party to arrive that we were going to make a deal with.  They knocked at the door and gave the passcode for entry, which I can’t remember but I heard it before and I knew it was the correct codeword.  We let them in.  The arrivals were black figures not African-American, but blackness surrounded them.

I was very fearful of their presence, so I went to the window of the building; opened it and considered jumping out if I needed to get away.  However, as I looked out, we were at the very top floor of the building.  It must’ve been 70 to 100 stories high.  

I knew I couldn’t jump, so I turned back into the suite as two employees of the building appeared.  They were Asian.  One of the women was spraying a perfume around the room.  I commented to her on how lovely it must be to be the person spreading the scent.

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.  2 Corinthians 2:14-15.

They proceeded to ask me if we were going to sign a contract so that they could stay in the suite, because they said, ‘time was running out for them’.  A song played in my head upon waking: ‘The Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it, and they are saved’.  For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. Psalm 61:3.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10.

I surmise the white building is the strong tower of the Lord as we believers take refuge in it.  In addition, the dark figures represent spies or infiltrators.  And, the two women symbolize Asian believers diffusing the fragrance of Christ as 2 Corinthians 2:14-15 explains.

Yet, as true believers, they are being worn down as Nehemiah 4:10 portrays: The people…said, “The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild…”

I believe the meaning of the dream to be that time is running out for Asian believers in China, Taiwan, Korea, et al.  Perhaps their governments will be cracking down on Christianity.  Currently, there are military threats happening in this region seemingly every week.

Apostates (evil intenders) have entered the church.  I know it started in 2020 in China, that is one of the reasons why we closed the ministry there.

These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. Jude 12-13.

Quite simply, this dream indicates a warning of hardships to come for Asian believers around the world, and it is also a call to intercession.  Let’s start praying for our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world that Jesus would be their Strong Tower.

Jesus, let us help these Asian believers who labor in the gospel, whose names are written in the Book of Life, and through whom diffuses the fragrance of Your knowledge in their countries.  I ask that you would be a Shelter for them and a Strong Tower, and that they would be alerted to any plots of the enemy.  That they would be overcomers; strengthened so they are able to continue to do Your work calling those to salvation in the countries where they live.  In Your name, we ask, Jesus. Amen.
