As we continue on in our quest to identify the Lord’s personal gifts to us, this will also help us to understand who we are individually in Christ.  But to do that requires prayer, patience and fortitude.

To receive the gifts which could easily be thought of as colorful gems, one must dig into the side of the Mountain.  Digging into the side of a mountain takes time and great energy.  If serious about the ‘dig’ and the expedition, then we have to reside at the base of the Mountain.

What mountain am I talking about?  Well, the Great ‘I Am’ Mountain, of course!  Snuggled into the Mountain rock and hidden in the secret place of a firm foundation is where I can receive the gifted gems.  Rock is not easily penetrated, and it can hide me from the enemy and the elements.  Like the song: “On Christ the sold rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand...”

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  (Psalm 91:1).

While we are on this gift expedition, seek to hide in the shadow of the Almighty during the search.  Certainly, prayer is how to hide.  In addition, an awareness of Him (talking to Him) throughout the day will help keep the enemy at bay.  Know that once you start the journey to find your gifts, the enemy will target you.  That’s why you have to hide in the Mountain.  This is where God wants to find you so He can bestow His gifts on you.

In the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice...  (Song of Solomon 2:14).

I am going to reiterate a dream I have previously posted because it seals my theory on the subject.  It is called the Amber Glory of God.  In the first scene of the dream a woman came to visit me, she was very business-like.  I was waiting for her as she was waiting for me.  She then, took me to a house that was wind swept and had open floorboards like a river had eroded its foundation.  This was not my house she said.

The woman then showed me my house.  The house was built into the side of a large mountain. The mountain was cut away at its base where my house was built.  She inferred it was a good thing.  In the final scene, the woman was giving out gifts and I wanted what she was gifting.  When she departed, I realized that she left me two gifts.

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.  (Psalm 125:1-2).

I viewed a table where she had prepared a luscious food dish for me.  The dish was overflowing and a golden amber color.  The food was fried in golden oil.  Next to the meal in a large golden container (water pitcher-sized) was an amber-colored oily fragrance.  I was excited to see that she left gifts for me.  It seemed the amber color stood out the most in the dream.

First, who was the visiting woman?  Business-like, authoritative yet kind.  A woman who gives gifts could be an angel.  In addition, I wonder if she could symbolize the Holy Spirit.

According to Gender of the Holy Spirit - Wikipedia “The word "Shekhinah" in rabbinic literature, to indicate the presence of God. In Hebrew the word for Spirit (ruach) is feminine."

The shekinah glory of God?  More evidence that the feminine presence could have been the Holy Ghost is that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

Let’s take a look at what I trust the remaining symbols represent.  A mountain is indicative of God’s glory; Christ, our Rock; favor of God; or a place of revelation or meeting with God.  My house was at the base of the Mountain, it was a good thing to live at its base.  Psalm 36:6 “Your righteousness is like the great mountains.”

The color amber is like gold.  Gold is indicative of God’s glory and wisdom.  And oil/perfume is also associated with the glory and aroma of God.  The fragrance of the Holy Spirit and a healing medicine.  In addition, the gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit are to be shared which was represented by the large portion of food and pitcher of oil.  They are also to be used for God’s glory.

I was waiting for her as she waited for me, meaning that I waited for her to give me the gifts and she waited for me to want the gifts.  Get it?  This transaction happened because my house resided at the base of the Great “I Am” Mountain.  Live inside the base of the Mountain and your extraordinary colorful gems will be brought forth.

Next time, I will guide you on how to identify the gifted tools the Lord has waiting for you.  But before I do, I need you to read about the gifts in Romans 12:6-8 and 1 Corinthians Chapters 12-14.  Until then, if you haven’t built your house at the base of His Mountain, start now and be prepared for an avalanche of His Spirit!
