Angel Raphael Dream ~ A Word of Knowledge Revealed & the Gift of Discerning of Spirits in Use

The following dream is an example of a mystery of God revealed through the Word of Knowledge.  My explanation of the gift: “Those with the gift of knowledge understand the deep things of God and the mysteries of His Word.  The manifestation is a ‘knowing’ beyond our natural abilities.  It reveals a meaning that would otherwise be hidden to us (i.e., a dream’s hidden meaning or an understanding of a scripture beyond the surface).”  This dream also exhibits the Discerning of Spirits as I’ve mentioned before, gifts usually work in tandem with each other to bring about the desired fulfillment.

This dream occurred a few months before the doctors rescinded my ALS diagnosis (and called it a miracle).  It was also used by the Lord to enlighten my Jewish Neurologist at the time.  It is called Angel Raphael Dream:

My husband Bobby and I were running alone on a street. We had labels on our heads, mine was cobalt blue, we had to make sure they didn't come off.  I recall holding on to my label.

Next scene, we made it to our destination, which felt like home.  A table was setup in the house for dinner and a messenger/delivery man met us there (don’t know what he delivered) I didn’t see a package.  It was evening and he had to return the way he came.  I knew he came up the same road only behind us.  I felt he was tired and hungry so before he departed, I offered him a meal.

The messenger was hungry, so I went into the kitchen, and I fixed him a plate of food.  I served him and also offered him a nap before he went back to where he came from.  Upon waking I thought of Hebrews 13:2 “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.”

As for my interpretation I felt the labels on our heads indicated we belong to God, our faith, we have to keep them on...not lose our faith while running this trial; the deliveryman needs a label (our faith) to make the delivery.

We arrived at home/destination, along with the messenger/deliveryman (an angel assigned us to deliver us safe). I saw nothing that he delivered.  He came up behind us on the same road as we did.  That's how I figured he had delivered us.  He had to go back the way he came. 

I sensed the messenger was hungry and tired, he was.  I fixed him a plate of food and I offered him rest. I thought of Abraham who did the same in Genesis Chapter 18, offering food and rest to The Angel of the Lord and his two companions.

I asked the Lord what the angel’s name was and heard ‘Raphael’…a Word of Knowledge.  I didn't think any more about it because I could not find the name Raphael in my Christian bible.  Then a month after the dream, I read a book titled Dream Language by James and Michal Ann Goll.  On page 54 recalls a Jewish prayer calling upon Raphael the Angel of Healing!  The prayer says "…on your right side is Michael…on your left side is Gabriel…before you is Uriel (the Angel of Light) and behind you is Raphael (the Angel of Healing)." 

Just like in my dream he was behind us as a traveling companion though we didn’t see him until we arrived at our destination.

It just so happened that a few days before having this dream, I gave my Neurologist a Jewish dream book.  And what was so crazy was that Dream Language quotes that Jewish dream book I gave my Neurologist…giving me an exciting God story to share with this Jewish doctor😊

Finally, the name Raphael is a Hebrew name.  In Hebrew the meaning of the name Raphael is: God heals, or God's healer.  Raphael is also the name of one of the archangels in Judaism.

Raphael first appears disguised in human form as a travelling companion...Raphael is generally associated with the angel mentioned in the Gospel of John as stirring the water at the healing pool of Bethesda.  From christiandreamsymbols.com: “to see an archangel in your dream is symbolic of a matter of great importance being taken care of by God”.

Can you see how this dream and its surrounding circumstances equates to a good example of the Word of Knowledge in action?  First, the Spirit provided me with the angel’s name, then, it was confirmed in a book.  And, further confirmed as revelation not contained in the bible but in Judaism!  Me not knowing who Raphael was speaks to a mystery God resolved along with a message of hope for my healing and a witness to a Jewish doctor.  To quote my friend Ralph, "Only God could do that"!
