The day after the news came of the head pastor’s death. I spent some time in my prayer closet. While I sat in silence before the Lord, I cried as I have always wanted to reconcile with this brother. Though I was called to a very difficult assignment concerning him, I did not dislike him. In fact, my heart was soft towards him, hoping he would heed the words of the Lord.
However, I remembered what the Lord had impressed upon me twelve years earlier in 2010 when I delivered the word of judgment to the head pastor. Pisgah. What is Pisgah? A week before the 2010 delivery date, I kept hearing the word “Pisgah;” it played over and over again in my head. I asked the Lord, “What is Pisgah?” Then the Lord brought to remembrance that Pisgah was part of the 1906 Azusa Street Revival. It was the mission site where people stayed when they visited the revival in Los Angeles.
Even more interesting was that Pisgah was the mountain peak (aka Mount Nebo) in Moab where Moses viewed the promise land. It was on this peak that God told Moses he could not enter the Promised Land because of sin. God was saying that the head pastor will see the revival on the horizon but will not enter into it. In other words, he will not see it with his own eyes.
Deuteronomy 3:25-27 “’I pray, let me cross over and see the good land beyond the Jordan, those pleasant mountains, and Lebanon.’ But the Lord was angry with me on your account and would not listen to me. So, the Lord said to me: ‘Enough of that! Speak no more to Me of this matter. Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift your eyes toward the west, the north, the south, and the east; behold it with your eyes, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.’”
God used Pisgah to establish what I thought to be true…just as Moses could not enter the Promised Land because of disobedience, so too the head pastor was not going to be allowed to enter the Promised Land of the revival that God has spoken to me about since 2007. The head pastor has seen it afar off but will not be able to enter in because of his rebellion. God made a point of it so I would include it in the 2010 meeting.
I know the head pastor saw the end-time revival a far off. Recall the 10:10 Mystery Fulfilled? He was a part of both of the national revival prayer events in 2020. Remember how I was miraculously shown his involvement? The full story can be found here: 10:10 Mystery Prophecy Fulfilled – Believe Miracles Are for Today (believemiraclesr42day.com)
Though I sat dumb founded in my closet, God sent a vision. I saw a huge bounty of Lilies of the Valley in front of me. Lily is a symbol of purity and resurrection! The head pastor’s resurrection. I smiled. Though he walked through the valley of the shadow of death, he was surrounded by the Lilly of the Valleys…our Lord!
I am the rose of Sharon, and the Lily of the Valleys. (Song of Solomon 2:1).
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me… (Psalm 23:4).
And so, I was comforted knowing that God’s plan is a foot, and I will see this brother again according to Philemon 15-16 For perhaps he departed for a while for this purpose, that you might receive him forever, no longer as a slave but more than a slave—a beloved brother, especially to me but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth. (Psalm 57:11).
For I proclaim the name of the Lord: ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and Upright is He. (Deuteronomy 32:3 -4).
