Let me ask you a question. Have you ever been transported (translated or teleported) in this life, either in a dream or in real life? I have never experienced such a Book of Acts manifestation until recently. I know a handful of people who have experienced the phenomena and two through a dream or vision.
In fact, my sister Wendy had a dream of such a short time ago. I will post her experience in the coming weeks under the title ‘Blink of an Eye’.
What am I talking about, transported, translated or teleported? This biblical experience does still happen in our day and I think more frequently will occur as we see the ‘Day’ approaching.
We can see this in scripture, according to John 6:21 Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
“The verse says “immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.” It is either teleportation, or a theory that to will to be with Jesus is to be at the land where you are going. Does the word "immediately" in John 6:21 suggest a supernatural happening? (Biblical Hermeneutics Stack Exchange).” I believe it does!
And, in Acts 8:39 Philip is transported: Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.
In addition, Enoch’s translation was a prophetic view of our future rapture. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken, he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5. Enoch pleased God, and was translated in the same body in which he pleased Him, pointing out (by anticipation) the translation of the just.
Here is my dream. I waded into an ocean and was staying near to the shore. I started swimming in the shallow water, when I noticed the waves were getting bigger and the water deeper. I looked to see where the shore was, and it was really far away. In all directions, the vast sea surrounded me.
I thought ‘Oh, I need to start swimming to get back’. I was scared being so far from land. As soon as I started a swimming stroke, I was immediately at the shore. I was catapulted back to the beach, thinking ‘How did I get here so fast?’
As I asked the Lord upon waking, “Was that you, God?” I received a song: O the deep deep love of Jesus. It is the same song as from the ‘Ships of Tarshish’ dreas which I recently posted.
Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!
Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!
How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore!
How He watches o’er His loved ones, died to call them all His own;
How for them He intercedeth, watcheth o’er them from the throne!
Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. Psalm 69:1-2.
But I sense there is more to the meaning of this dream. When I think I am too far gone, lost at sea so to speak; I am never too far from the help of my Savior. Could the message also be that in these last days, we believers will experience more Book of Acts phenomena? I pray so, it was exhilarating being transported so quickly.
The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters. Psalm 24:1-2.
