As I have said, something is going on with my feet! But, not just my feet as the Lord is continuing to speak of His feet, too. It occurred to me the other morning, that a dream I had a month ago was related to His feet. Why? Well, I sure didn’t know it at the time. But the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to it as He has been speaking to me about my feet and God’s feet during my foot issue.
The dream starts with me outside where I found a picture of a huge mountain lion. He had beautiful greenish eyes and was so real even though He was a picture. Mind you, I was looking at His picture, when he became real. I took hold of His paws (his FEET) in my hands.
The front feet of the Lion were so soft yet heavy, big and immensely strong! He didn’t move, He just let me handle His feet, peacefully. It was a picture but also real. I woke up thinking what an odd dream, yet I loved it because I love big cats.
What is the Lord saying to me, I thought? I know a lion indicates dominion, Christ, King, regal, bold and powerful. So, the lion represents Jesus who is the Lion from the tribe of Judah. A lion is known for courage. Perhaps, He was imparting some of His courage to me, as well as the peace of His countenance.
“The Bible uses hundreds of metaphors and images to describe the indescribable God Almighty. Animals and other forms of nature can help us understand specific aspects of God’s character. A lion may be king of the jungle, but the Lion of Judah is the King of kings. Lions are legendary for their strength, beauty, and fearlessness. The lion has been called the king of the beasts and the king of the jungle. Jesus is called the Lamb of God, but He is also called the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5) to display His absolute authority and power over all creation.” What is the significance of lions in the Bible?
I need to understand another symbol in the dream (the picture), that would help the meaning. A picture connotates a memory, imagination, a message within itself (as in “a picture is worth a thousand words”). I believe the picture of the Lion is like my faith. I see God in the Bible, through prayer, circumstances and miracles…kind of like a picture. But I don’t see Him physically with my eyes, I have to use my imagination.
Yet in this dream I saw and felt Him. He’s REAL, He’s really REAL! Now, we know God is alive and present with us because we have been given faith to believe. To physically feel what I touched with my hands was incredible and another pointer to “Feet”. This ‘feet’ theme has been following me since the last of the rains. The end of March 2023.
Upon prayer, I heard: ‘I will show Myself to them’: “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father and I too will love them and show myself to them.” John 14:21.
Finally, I asked ‘Was that YOU?’ I heard: ‘Behold My hands, My feet.’ That is from Luke 24:36-39: “Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”
Boy, that made it clear to me as I did handle the Lion’s feet just as the scripture says. Amazing!
For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His Shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.
