It is bittersweet to write about expecting a miracle when I have been waiting years for my miracle of strength to arrive from heaven. Do you see that? I am ‘expecting’ my miracle that God has promised over the years to be delivered to me. Just as we wait for UPS or USPS to deliver our packages, I await heaven’s delivery van any day now. But that doesn’t mean I don’t track my package and inquire on its progress!
Sometimes, I think it has gotten lost in transit, knowing any sin or the enemy can divert its arrival. Remember, Daniel’s delayed answer in Daniel 10:11-14? But my faith has recently been renewed as I didn’t always have this confidence. In fact, my belief has waned until I received the gift of healing instantly for my plugged ear. This act of kindness from Jesus has spurred me to believe He can do the same for my weak legs. A ray of hope has broken through the clouds of doubt to keep me trusting.
He has said, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.
So, this post is a hope-filled post which includes the verses from the Covenant of Peace (26-27). "I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing. 27 Then the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase. They shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them."
Let’s look at the two verses separately and know they speak to us personally as well as the Body of Christ and Israel. Verse 26 says: “I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessings”. Wow, He is going to send us showers of rain and blessings.
I am expecting miracles through faith; atmospheric rivers of rain physically (to end our drought) and spiritually (latter rain, revival)! This has already started with the rains in California. “California has seen rainfall totals 200 to 600 percent above normal over the past month, with 24 trillion gallons of water having fallen in the state since late December.” Fruit of Our Prayers.
The Lord will make us who enter in and live around His hill (the Great I Am Mountain) a blessing to others and a glory to Himself. Isn’t that what blessings cultivate, a grateful attitude to share with others and to glorify God for His kindness to us.
In her book, The Covenant of Peace, Shawn Saunders writes God will: “Send the showers needed in the proper season; The latter rain is to mature the crop and prepare for the harvest. Lack of adequate rain at any of these steps or too much rain could destroy the entire crop and abort the harvest intended. He will shower down the blessings (showers of blessings); He is Lord of the harvest. He controls the showers. He controls the harvest. And He, God Himself, is saying that He will favor (bless) you under His Covenant of Peace.”
You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, when it was weary. Psalm 68:9.
Which leads us to verse 27: “Then the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase. They shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them.”
Now, you can take this verse of scripture literally, but I feel led to look at it symbolically, also. Trees, people, fields represent much in God’s word. Trees actually symbolize people in the Bible; and fields are ripe for harvest. The earth will yield its increasing end-time harvest. And fruit I see personally as the fruit of Spirit resulting in good works for Him and a fruitful harvest of souls.
We will have safety and peace while living in His land of covenant and working; and we will know Him more as Lord of our lives when He is our Deliverer. Delivering us from the yoke of affliction; oppression and our enemies. This will create in us such a joy and a peace that others will be a witness to it and rejoice with us. His wonders, showers of blessings and miraculous signs will bring multitudes into the Kingdom of God, similar to the Book of Acts.
Jesus said to him go home to your friends and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how he has had compassion on you! Mark 5:19.
Therefore, they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands. Acts 14:3.
Read how Isaiah represents the same promise: “For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12. Now, apply the same principle of symbols to this verse and the trees clapping their hands makes sense, it would be people praising God when they see His marvelous works in us. Then, they too would expect miracles of blessings from Him after they enter into the Covenant of Peace.
When her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her. Luke 1:58.
I believe God is positioning us through this Covenant of Peace to bless us with the fruit of His Spirit, heal us, and give us glorifying testimonies and miracles from Him. Why? To bring in the Latter Rain Revival; which in turn, will result in the end-time ingathering of His saints before the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord. It is on its way; it is time to expect the miracle!
Rain down you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness; let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lord, have created it. Isaiah 45:8.
