Incredible…the Sahara turns green, and snow falls for the first time ever in the desert in Saudi Arabia! Scientists aren't completely sure why. “Satellite images show areas of the Saharan desert have surprisingly turned green, with scientists racing to fully understand why after unusual weather activity. Known as the African Humid Period, the earth’s tilt changed, bringing the Northern Hemisphere closer to the sun during the summer. This caused a low-pressure system that brought moisture from the Atlantic into the desert. The region recently experienced unprecedented heavy rainfall which left over half a foot of rain in some areas.

Then, 11/7/24 snow falls for the first time ever in desert in Saudi Arabia. “Snow accumulates on roads as it falls for the first time in desert in Saudi Arabia. Bizarre weather brought thunderstorms, hail, and rainfall across Saudi Arabia, and led to the snow accumulation.”

“Saudi Arabia's Al-Jawf region registered its name in the history books after experiencing snowfall. One may call it a climate change effect, but for others, its more than a miracle.

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but it waters the earth, and makes it to bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isa 55:10-11).

“God here uses a very common figure-an occurrence of nature, the rain and the snow, to illustrate His Word. How that they come down from heaven, even as God's Word has come to us not as an invention of man as some would have you to think, but "all scripture is given by inspiration of God" (II Timothy 3:16). God's Word is come to us from heaven and the purpose of God's Word is to work here on earth, not to work in heaven, but it's to work here on earth. Its effect and its fruit and its result is here on earth.

Now even as rain comes down to water the earth in order that it might spark into life, all of the potential that is there in that dirt, you look at a dry, parched, dusty field, barren. But yet in that dirt, in that dry field there's all kinds of latent life forms. Out on the desert, dry, parched sand. But just get a few inches of rain, the beauty, the glory that is there as the rain sparks into life. All of the seeds and everything else that are there and the desert turns purple. It turns yellow. It turns golden. It turns blue with all of the beautiful flowers, as the seeds have been touched by the rain and brought forth into life. So our lives as God's Word comes to us is able to transform our lives and bring into life that spirit.

Man without the Word of God remains dead, lifeless, barren, deserty. But oh, when God's Word like rain begins to just soak my life, the fruit, the results as it waters in order that it might bud blossoms forth. "So is My Word, it shall not return unto Me void." First time in history: How did a Saudi Arabian desert see snowfall? – Firstpost

This is the recent enemy visitation that happened to my sis, Wendy. You can read about the history of the situation under Heart of an Intercessor, titled ‘Something is Going On; I Feel it in My Body’. The experience confirmed what we were dealing with. My body has become a battleground where the forces of good and evil are playing out. Who would believe such a report? In fact, my spiritual mentor was even shocked. Here’s her response.

“Good grief, Pam! I have never heard anyone confess anything like this before. Don’t think it gets any worse than this! Well…I guess it does but this is astounding. Your sister is brave, but she is right to stand in righteous defiance. Jesus is BIGGER!”

Wendy in her own words: “Well I prayed last night for a dream and also for your healing and strengthening but I did not get anything for you. Instead, what I got was my own attack by the enemy likely because I’m praying against him. Here is what happened:  I woke up somewhere around 10:00 pm and changed positions in bed to laying on my left side and fell back to sleep. Sometime around 11:00 pm I literally felt someone, or something sit on my right side of the bed. I felt it was not a good person or thing. 

I tried yelling out Jesus, but my words were not making any sound, so I reached my hands up to try and feel this person/thing that I knew was in some type of human form and I felt its face but only on the back of my left hand and not the front. It felt like a couple of days of facial stubble but only pointier and rougher and prickly. I literally felt it on my hand, and I screamed Jesus and finally the words came out that I could hear them.

This DID NOT feel like a dream, but I literally felt this thing next to me. The pressure of the weight of the body against my side sitting next to me on the bed and then the scratchy rough feeling on my hand that I assume was its face, but not entirely sure. I then woke up and grabbed my phone, it was after 11::00 pm.

This was as real as real it gets, yet I awoke, and nothing was there. I believe it was the enemy. I was not scared after waking but defiant. I have never ever felt something in a dream like I felt the rough prickly hair like this. It almost hurt. 

I knew it was male and thought at first that it was Lewis but quickly realized it was sinister. Never have I experienced that before so vividly because I felt prickles on the back of my hand reaching up to touch what I thought was the face, but maybe not. Maybe it was the entire body! Ugh.”

Let’s look at this recent enemy experience symbolically.  An unshaven/unkept face in a dream/vision equates to spiritual neglect, uncleanness, an unclean spirit. And the word prickly means ‘Causing trouble or vexation’; thorny, "a prickly situation." The act of vexing, or the state of being vexed; agitation; disquiet; trouble; irritation.

Now, left is spiritual: weakness (of people, me); God’s strength demonstrated through people’s weakness; something spiritual; wicked scheming. All the symbols point to demonic activity except for Wendy resting on the bed. I would like to think that indicates resting in Jesus during this vexing episode.

I can tell you that once Wendy shared this experience with me, I had my answer of a spiritual attack. I started praying scripture. The verse was used during my ten-year prayer assignment against the Jezebel spirit. The day after I started praying the scripture, I felt noticeably stronger. The unusual amount of fear I felt has dissipated.

For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous…Psalm 125:3a.

Wendy’s reaction, “Wow, that’s great I will pray that too. It’s interesting that it says, “shall not rest” especially when it was resting (sitting) on my bed!”

The battle does belong to the Lord, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a part in it. He is the CHIEF COMMANDER and HE asks us to wield our swords. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God.

Thanks, sis, for being a conduit through which the Holy Spirit could reveal the intent and plans of the enemy. The Lord wants the enemy to be publicly humiliated, which is what we are doing by speaking forth. To God be the glory.

Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:15.

I am led to include a post on our defeated foe, Satan and his minions.  I do this not to frighten you but to make you aware that if God speaks to us, know that the enemy can speak, too.  As I have said before, we can know God’s voice from the enemy’s by knowing God’s Word and the inflection of the voice heard.

“How do we overcome the devil in everyday life? First, we need to recognize that the devil is a defeated foe. The Son of God came to undo the work of the devil. The crucifixion of Christ, which looked like a mighty victory for Satan, turned out to be a great triumph for God, because it was on the cross that Jesus took your sins and my sins…Then, we are able to resist the devil. If we resist him, Scripture says, he will flee from us. Jesus overcame the devil not by argument but simply by quoting Scripture. That is why it is so important to learn and memorize Scripture passages.”

If the enemy quotes scripture at you, it will be partial or twisted.  You wield the sword right back at him aiming for the heart- the heart of the matter.  One sentence is all you need, no arguing with the devil.  Quote the WORD only so he will flee and resist him.  Remember this fact as we continue to learn how to discern the voice of the One who loves us.  Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  (James 4:7).

Before you engage him though, ask the Lord to show you where the issue is coming from perhaps it is not the enemy.  Pray for the gift of discernment to understand and to have the source (or the enemy) revealed to you. 

From a previous post: “A word of caution here.  It is best not to verbally confront satan without scripture.  A good example to follow is Jude 1:9: Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

When listening for the Lord’s voice in prayer, it is important to protect our gates.  What am I talking about?  The eye gates and ear gates we all possess.  Guard these gates by asking yourself if Jesus would want you to look at or listen to something.  Because that ‘something’ could be a snare set up by you know who…to soil your mind.  Beware of the bait (as in fish bait)!  Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11).

I believe the goldfish picture captures our defeated foe with humor.  At times, I can take the enemy too seriously and I will use this picture to help me recall his biggest tactic is ‘bluffing’!   Jesus called him the father of lies: When he (Satan) lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.  (John 8:44c). 

One last sure-fire way to rid yourself of the enemy’s voice is to worship the Lord.  Believe me, he will flee.  I sense our worship of God is like nails on a chalk board to Satan and his minions.  Scratch away and be prepared to go deeper with God!

“Now as for you daughter, the words that I have spoken in the past regarding the revival that your eyes will see are being confirmed to you by many sources.  I have not spoken in secret and have proven to you that your hearing is correct.  All you have heard, all that you have seen and all that I have promised is My will upon the earth.  I will bring it to pass.”

 "Believe Me for the works I do and believe Me for who I am in you.  But greater works than these you will do.  Just believe. Believe miracles are for today.  Believing is receiving, your joy will be full.”  

The Spirit who yearns jealously for us.
